PhuketPals IV: XVII

Image
The last day of our Phuket Trip also marked the 17th anniversary of KH and I getting together. A remarkable milestone to be able to put up with each other for so long. Hehe. With KH, I find that things are never too difficult to resolve. His patience smothers all of my tantrums, and his actions reflect his genuine feelings.  First things first, mark the occasion with morning sex before breakfast. Then go refuel at the buffet. In between packing up, we still found the time for a short skanky photoshoot at the canal outside our room. All the sisters together in our matching gear. Ate an early lunch nearby and Grab-ed to the airport.  At the airport, we reflected on our short trip, and found that there were many things on our itinerary that we didn't do. Perhaps we need to arrange a revisit. While heading to the boarding gate, ForIHaveSinned realized that his passport was not on his body. A short panic ensued, but was quickly reunited with his travel documents because a good sama...

PhuketPals III: Phuranakan

Image
Breakfast at Charms Resort is decent but not great. After eating, we went upstairs to the pool to menyundal . Trust SimonLover to be the perfect artistic director for erotic photoshoots. The locker room had a nice urinal area with a floor-to-ceiling window. We were so into it that we nearly didn't notice the cleaner. Enough with the indoor photography, we switched over to the pool. All sorts of colourful swimwear made an appearance, and we were all showing off our back-arching skills. Did we do any swimming? Of course not. The main event of the day was to visit the Old Town. Surprisingly, Phuket has a heritage of Peranakan culture thanks to the tin mining boom. The Grab dropped us at One Chun Cafe & Restaurant , listed on Michelin Select. We were very lucky to get a table because the lunch crowd was crazy. The food was amazing, and value for money. Nothing like the tourist traps at Patong. The deep-fried prawns with sweet tamarind sauce, and stir-fried crab meat with curry powd...

PhuketPals II: Watch That Trunk

Image
Compared to SimonLover and ForIHaveSinned, our day started a bit later. When we came out for breakfast, they were already in their transport, ready to head out to the port. For the trip to the animal sanctuary, we had to bring a change of clothes and a towel as we were supposed to get wet. We crowded onto the back of a transport truck together with an Asian DILF. As you can see, his sweaty pits were right in front me.  Kalim Elephant Care was just 40 minutes away, and this was inclusive of a couple of stops at other hotels along the way. The guide gave us a short briefing about Thai elephants and handed each of us bag containing strips of sugarcane. No points for guessing that the elephants love that shit. We got really up close and personal with a family of elephants. Their skin was tough and leathery, with coarse hairs. And their trunks wove around us with amazing agility always sniffing for sugarcane. We walked together with the elephants from one point to the next, taking load...

Tater In Town: Sticky Bun Latte

Image
Tater was in town in early November, and as usual it centered on conversation over comfort food. Lounged in his room at The Westin first, and admired the complimentary KLCC Twin Tower chocolates that were compliments of the house. Once Tater freshened up, we crossed the road over to Starhill to visit the cafes there. COME True Cafe  looked the most attractive so we sat down there. Nearly every table had a plate of creme brulee souffle pancake on it, so we naturally also jumped on the bandwagon. Three of us broke our Eslite virginity after catching up over a couple of pineapple americanos. Our dinner at  El Iberico  centered on their signature aroz, and of course Tater wanted dessert. The churros were a great way to end the meal. Before we called it a night, we had more coffee at Feeka . Tater had a fun time flirting with the barista while he ordered his sticky bun latte. Maybe someone wanted to get some sticky buns that night. :P

Planning Phuket

Image
It's really no mean feat planning a holiday with friends-- getting everyone to agree on a time, place, and actually getting the flight tickets. KH, SimonLover, ForIHaveSinned, and I passed that phase-- we were going to Phuket during the Thaipusam weekend! Made a cafe date at Mimi Daifuku , and tried to tresh out some of the details. Being old school, ForIHaveSinned had a notebook with him on top of an iPad to organize his thoughts. In the end, I think we membawang-ed  more than any actual planning. LOL. But we were very sure of one thing-- we need a hotel room with private pool or something similar for our hiao photo sessions!

Suddenly Straight

Image
During a casual dinner meet-up, a gay friend suddenly announced that he was getting married--  TO. A. WOMAN.  えーーー?! One friend incredulously exclaimed, "You can mehhhhh?!". Apparently he can. His choice really. And his wife is in the dark about his past.  No wonder he was very quiet in the gay circle of late, and seemed to be distant.   Guess it was part of his plan to start with a clean slate so to say.  In the coming weeks, he did introduce us to his wife. KH and I 'behaved' in front of her.  Only a few close friends were invited to the wedding, and we didn't spread the news.  Really hope that things will work out, and not turn out to be a mistake for both parties.  Note: 202307

Hotpot HomePar

Image
QueerRanterD's birthday was around the corner, so his new boyfriend, Bran arranged a hotpot party at his home. Bran has a beautiful home in Bandar Utama, and he tastefully decorated it in a black and white theme. Previously, Bran worked in the States, and his company gave him a placement in Malaysia during the MCO period. Personality-wise, they are quite different, but they seem pretty compatible. Yin and Yang at work. The party was an intimate one, just KH, SK, CK, and I. The soup base Bran bought from HaiDiLao, and of course we had a vegetarian option for QueerRanterD. Great selection of fresh meat,  seafood, and vegetables. He even prepared a sauce station! The birthday cake was a tiramisu from a home baker, and we also had some keto chocolate cookies that the host baked. And no party would be complete without some Riesling. Let's do it again next year!

What Does Underwear Have In Common With Frozen Yoghurt?

Image
Whenever I meet up with SimonLover and Andy, there's usually underwear involved. No surprises there.

Bye, Kenji!

Image
Kenji's stint in Malaysia came to end after a year of perseverance. He decided to head back to Canada to pursue his new-found interest in fitness and nutrition. And also to reunite with his cute corgi! Gave him a simple send-off at Rinjin Shokudo, and said our goodbyes. Perhaps KH and I will visit him in Canada again one of these days.

Supplies from SimonLover

Image
Fellow underwear hoarder, and partner-in-crime, SimonLover assisted me in adding more stuff to my burgeoning collection. The glittering jockstrap was actually gifted to me. Perhaps he is impressing on me that I should start a gogo boy side gig. Whatever the case, I love how it looks in the light.  I tumpang -ed his order from GX3 to get this pair of sheer black bikini swimwear. His Royal Skankiness got a pair in white. Although its sheer when wet, the dark colour makes it more 'family-friendly'? Wonder if I'll ever use it in a public pool.

Rear End of 2022

Image
Before 2022 ended, KH insisted that we have a BFF gathering. Managed to round up Janvier, The Chief, Jaded Jeremy, Bunny, SimonLover, and ForIHaveSinned to join. Our dinner location was at Seppia & Polpo at Starling Mall. Having happened nearly a year ago, I really forgot my opinion about the food. And I forgot to leave a Google Maps review. In addition to wrapping up the year, it was an impromptu birthday celebration for ForIHaveSinned. Although he is my senior, his plump and perky ass puts many young boys to shame. Coincidentally, we bumped into TummyFull at the mall, as he was hosting some 'interest group' friends from out of town. The heavy rain outside limited our choices for dessert to the cafe inside Book Excess. Hang in there, I should be blogging about 2023 before 2024 arrives!

Ajak-Ajak Ashton

Image
Being the local foodies, the responsibility to keep Ashton well-fed fell onto KH and I. Sharky and his boyfriend also joined us to share the calories. We ventured to Klang to have BKT at Teluk Pulai on a rainy Deepavali morning. Once again, we failed to get a glimpse of the hunky son who chops the meat. With a food quorom of six, we could order the wet and dry varieties, and an extra serving of intestines and stomach. Naturally, we raided the Klang Food Centre pau shop after our meal.  There was no time for Ashton to digest his food as we immediately dragged him to Chong Kok Kopitiam for some old school coffee and toast. Although it has heritage status, frankly I'm not impressed with the place. As long as Ashton was satisfied with the Telur Goyang that he ordered. No kaya for him as his Taiwanese tongue doesn't fancy anything coconut-based. Kenji and Ashton rushed off to do some gadget shopping, but KH and I stayed a bit longer in the old part of town. Wandered into Laman ...

Darling Deeps

Image
Being a cradle catholic, Cutiepie doesn't really celebrate Deepavali. For fun, she invited us over to her house for a Deepavali eve dinner party. Actually she expected us to dress up in ethnic wear, but I missed her cue. My bad. When we arrived at her place in Semenyih, she welcomed us in a resplendent black Punjabi suit, all decked out in jewellery. Fitting the theme of the Festival of Lights, the porch was decorated with oil lamps. Decked out on the dining table was her daughter's favourite vomit beans, prawns cooked in coconut cream, and stir-fried asparagus. The pets were also part of the festivities. Right after our meal, we headed out to play fireworks with the kids. Cutiepie's hubby exploded after he saw one of the sparklers get too close to the cars on the kerb, so we went to main jauh-jauh . Did our best to exhaust the supply of fireworks, and then headed back in for some apple strudel that KH bought from Klang!

Selamat Datang, Ashton

Image
Kenji's hubby, Ashton flew all the way to Kuala Lumpur from Vancouver for a conjugal visit. :P. On the day of his arrival ( luckily he didn't seem too jet-lagged ), we had dinner with him at Grub by Ah Hong . Gordon Ramsay's Beef Wellington was all over social media at the time, so I guess that also inspired Kenji to pre-order Grub Hong's Beef Wellington that costs over RM400! Expensive, right? But still cheaper than Grodon Ramsay's. Chowed down lots and lots of beef that night, but I'm not really a fan. Stay tuned for how we stuff Ashton with Malaysian food in the coming posts. P.S.: Before dinner, KH actually dragged me out to WFH from Terrasse , a hidden cafe-resto located above Salon Uniseks Carnation. Our tea time was duck confit! XD

Bomakase42

Image
The festivities for my birthday came to a close with an omakase dinner organized by SK. Red was the theme for the night, so I turned up in my Christmas pants.  Hisho is located in one of the deadest malls in town, DC Mall. Apollo knows the owners of the restaurant, so there was some special treatment. Frankly, it was one of the biggest omakase meals I had ever envountered. The first course was like a personal "Five Happiness" platter, and I was already half full after that. Portions were large, but truth be told, didn't taste very premium. Most importantly everyone had a great time. Until B43.  P.S.: The pastries in the first photo was from The Bread Shop . Made a stop there before dinner because we got out of the house pretty early.

Tourist Trap

Image
Whenever friends come visiting, I'm usually stumped as to where to bring them. In the end, it's always Jalan Alor. Such a lack of imagination I must admit, but it was a walk down memory lane for Nic and POD who were visiting from Singapore. In 2010, they stayed at the seedy Federal Hotel with its bad springs and busy hallways. Fast forward a dozen years later, this 'old married couple' was holed up at the JW Marriot. Definitely rounder and greyer. Haha. Jalan Alor had somehow evolved to a very touristy area with Sala Daeng vibes. Pretty shocked. Braved the crowds and gauntlet of of menus shoved into our faces to reach the restaurant at the far end of the road.  Great to catch up with them at Restoran W.A.W.  over the perennial favourites of grilled chicken wings, satay,  and roast pork noodles. Bunny ordered their ham choi soup and it was surprisingly good. Business was so good that after eating, it felt impossible to get the bill paid. Continued on at  Coffee Acad...

Wedding-Funeral-Birthday

Image
The old man with the cute corgi whom I visited a month earlier passed away peacefully at his home. Mum and I attended the funeral mass. When we arrived at church on Saturday morning, a pair of newly-weds had just finished their wedding mass. Before they cleared off completely, the casket was already being pushed into the church. Life and death, side by side. Mum followed the family members to Xiao En Memorial Park for the cremation, but I didn't join. Lunch boxes were compliments of the earlier wedding since there were lots of leftovers.   Joined KH to meet his boi boi friend at  Hide and Seek Coffee . The cafe is unmarked, and you need to be buzzed in. Pretty much an art space with coffee and cake. Neither do they have a proper menu, nor a cash register. The boi boi had just finished his internship and was job hunting. A regular at Chin Woo swimming pool, he has a lot of interesting locker room stories.  JJ invited us to to Bunny's birthday dinner, but we had a cou...

KenjiInKL: Washing the Dust

Image
After years and years abroad in Canada, Kenji has finally relocated back to Malaysia. The usual scenario-- to help out in the family business. Long before his return, we had already been discussing what Malaysian food he would like to gorge on. Picked him up ( still not braving the Malaysian traffic ) from his new place in Shah Alam, and brought him to dinner at T.J.K. Little Wok . Not exactly a famous place, but KH chose it because of the proximity, and variety. Kenji looked well, but he wasn't exactly thrilled about his homecoming. Hopefully he would get a hang of things soon enough.  No makan-makan session would be complete without dessert. Deliberated with Sharky and found that Subang was the closest option.  Soypresso piqued Kenji's interest because he has a weakness for those taro and yam balls. Why stop at one dessert place, right? Before calling it a night, we went to Roji Monster Ice Cream . They seem to put googly eyes on everything, but imagine my disappointment w...

Jamuan Hari JJ

Image
April breezed by with Palm Sunday and the Easter Triduum. Soon enough it was Jaded Jeremy's birthday. Once again, he arranged an intimate dinner for five at Kinpachi , Subang Jaya. As recent tradition dictated, there was  hanpen  on the table, which is a fluffy fish cake. The grilled mochi wrapper with bacon was delicious too. KH SimonLover surprised JJ with a 12" dick apple strudel from Klang. His sweet tooth was satisfied! Having desserts at Huang Soy Bar is also an unwritten rule. It was painful to see the way SimonLover ate his taufufah-- complete destruction! SimonLover passed me a package from Robbie , a fellow undergear enthusiast from Melbourne. The package contained a red lace brief from Nene and a white thong from CIN2. Both were amazing additions to my collection. Thanks!

Birthday High

Image
For her birthday, SK requested for a trip to Genting. KH was the designated driver, and Lifebook joined us as well. Our first stop was Genting Premium Outlets. Business wasn't half bad as the crowds had started to return. It was a productive visit for SK ( no surprises here ), Lifebook ( no surprises here either ), and mum. The birthday girl settled her own birthday lunch. She made reservations at Sempah T-Farm , a private dining restaurant operating out of a farm located in the hills. The path up to the farm was lined with ginger plants, all sorts of creepers, and even waddling ducks. At the end of the path was al fresco dining area, with chickens running about, and dogs napping on the cool cement floor. And it was no surprise that there were photography spots to to take advantage of the rustic scenes.     The food came in courses, making use of fresh ingredients from the farm. The chicken soup and the prawn dish were my favourites. Some hits and misses, but overall, we ...
