Welcome Home KH

Image
KH was finally back from his trip, so we celebrated with a nice dinner at Little Pig . Been meaning to try this modern tapas restaurant since we saw it during our last sojourn to The Hub SS2. The restaurant is located on the second floor, and has two distinct styles. Turn to your left for the usual restaurant setting~ woody interior, and ambient lighting. If you're in a different mood, turn right to the bar area with its dark interior, neon lights, and metal finishing. If you're ever there, you must order the Crispy Pork Belly Eel Bao. It really is more dim sum than tapas, but every bite is heavenly. Its actually like a mini mantao slider that is embedded with egg yolk gel on top. In between is crispy Spanish Duroc pork belly with teriyaki sauce. Every bite is an explosion of piggy power. And remember, use your hands for this. The ribs was fall off the bones, but pretty mild in terms of flavour. If you feel like getting a bit high, go for the sangria. Rather than a

Swim Sunday

Image
Can't remember the last time I had a slow and lazy Sunday. Because mum had a charity event on Sunday morning, we went to sunset mass on Saturday. My day started at 8:00 AM, had a light bite to eat, and sent mum out. Then I went to the AirBnB to replenish some household items. For the very first time, I could swim at the pool there. It was an L-shaped infinity pool on the 6th floor, with a 'splendid' view of decaying shophouses along Old Klang Road. I didn't have the pool to myself as some kids were having their swimming lessons. That didn't stop me from changing into my skimpy yellow Marcuse swim trunks that SimonLover helped me purchase online. A couple of DILFs were there but they were in conservative suits. Did my laps then moved my stuff to the other end of the pool where it was quieter. Flopped myself on the lounge chair and relaxed. Unlike what SimonLover and ForIHaveSinned usually do, I didn't stick around to sizzle in the sun. By the time I left, i

Countless Cakes

Image
Went to work as usual although it was my birthday. No reason to as there were no special plans. KH wasn't in KL too, he was on another continent. Arrived at the office, and before I started tucking into my breakfast, a delivery guy was at the door. It was a cake delivery for my colleague, which I found really weird cause it was really early, and I couldn't brain getting a cake delivered. But anyway, she signed for it then brought the gianduja cake to me, declaring that it was from KH ( he's super sweet! )! I was REALLY surprised. Luckily it could fit into my colleague's mini refrigerator. My colleagues treated me to a birthday lunch at Brewhouse , TTDI. We brought the cake out as well. I had mixed feelings about their signature charsiew rice bowl. On one hand the charsiew was good, but the charsiew sauce kinda pulled it down. After we had all eaten, we brought out the cake, sang a song, blew out the candle, and brought the cake back to the office unmolested! Lo

Breakfast was included in the suite booking. E&O Residences doesn't have a cafe, but they outsourced it to the Delicious located outside their premises. Although separate, it's directly accessible via a secured access door. The buffet breakfast had a spread consisting of typical Malaysian delights like nasi lemak , fried bihun , and curry chicken. For non-locals, they also have the typical Western breakfast consisting of sausages, omelettes, and baked beans. Food was delicious, but the coffee weak. The cafe has a classy design, with several themes incorporated. Subsequently checked out and headed to church. During a short stop at Paradigm Mall, we had our lunch at Canton Kitchen . Made a dinner appointment with Gratitude that evening. Three of us traveled to Restoran Makanan Laut Kebun Kelapa all the way in Pandamaran. Being the host, Gratitude decided on the order for the night. We had the signature fried glass noodles which in my opinion was above average. Exc

Birthday Celebrity

For my birthday, SK singlehandedly organized a staycation and a photoshoot for me. Our talk of a photoshoot had originated a decade ago, and it finally happened. On Saturday morning, mum and I skipped marketing at OUG. We went to breakfast with SK instead. Three of us shared a large bowl of fish head noodles ( with extra fish ) at Woo Pin , Taman Desa. Think the foreign worker was a bit surprised by our order. At 11 AM, all three of us went to 49 Hairdress Café to get a haircut. Been a long time since my hairstylist worked on both of them. With our hair all done up ( asked my stylist for something more outstanding ), it was time for us to start our staycation and photoshoot. Went home, loaded our bags, and headed to Lot 10 to meet Apollo for lunch. We went around J's Dining Gate, Lot 10's latest addition to their concept of all things Japanese. Quite a selection of ramen, teppanyaki, katsu, etc. In the end, plopped into Izakaya Hanazen for hot pot. The star here is the “

LRT Celebrities : Black Bryant

Image
I spotted Black Bryant on the Ampang Line while I was heading back home. His all black gym togs really caught my eye. Of course those biceps and brooding, manly looks played a major role too. He was traveling with his family, but he gave them wide berth, preferring to retreat to the connection between train cars. Perhaps he was busy on Grindr and didn't want his parents to look over his shoulder.

Nearly forgot about mum's quarterly visit to the gynaecologist. Skipped marketing at OUG and headed to Bandar Puteri instead. The visit took longer than usual because the doctor was more than half an hour late getting in. Whenever we are in the area, we always go for the delicious Teochew fishball noodles at You Fishball Noodles . Can't beat the texture because no flour is added into the saitou fish meat. Robbie, an IG friend of SimonLover and I was in town. He was on vacation with his Malaysian hubby, and Kuala Lumpur was the last leg of their journey before returning to Melbourne. A good opportunity to meet him in person. Mum dropped me off at the LRT station on her way out to a meeting. I got off at Plaza Rakyat, and walked the rest of the way to Merchant's Lane . Not a great idea as the sun was really merciless that afternoon. Took me some time to find the place as it was my first time there. Found a small sign with the words "We are beside a stationery sh
