Sixteen years together is no easy feat. Although KH and I had already spent so many years together, we can still say silly things to each other. Poke fun at each other about subjects that have origins from when we started dating. Our inside jokes. Does it mean that we have not progressed? I would like to think that we still maintain the same innocent love that we have for each other. To mark the occasion, we had a wonderful lunch at Entier French Dining located in Alila Bangsar. We had a table with a view, and the natural light really makes the food porn photos pop. A memorable dining experience complete with anniversary cake compliments of the restaurant.  Mei and MiniMei were in town, so we took the opportunity to catch up with them at Chye Seng Foo Coffee in Cheras. Perhaps MiniMei was exhausted from all the social events that her momma dragged her too, so she was a bit sulky. Nothing a little bacon fries couldn't solve. With Mei, she updated us on her situationship and life b...

Fifteen years had passed since KH and I got together. Once again, he organized a wonderful celebration, although he admits that it stresses him out. Am I so hard to please? Little ol' me?? To placate him, I told him that I would take over next year. Hopefully he'd forget. XD. The celebration began at home with some hot and heavy action. The proper way would be to have a round for each year we were together, but ..... Haha.  KH made lunch reservations at Hanaya , a Japanese restaurant in Grand Milennium Hotel, Bukit Bintang. When making the reservation, he told them that it was for an anniversary. Not sure if KH was expecting a table with scattered rose petals and a violinist, but all we got was a small vase of artificial flowers. XD. At least the food was good, and reasonably priced.  Moving on, we visited LaLaport BBCC, which was built on the historical Pudu Jail. All that's left is the main gate. As expected, LaLaport was a shopping mall with a whole lot of boarded up lot...

Remember How We Felt

Image
January is the month is that KH and I started our relationship some fourteen years ago. In the run up to our anniversary, I dug up the old cards that he sent me during the early days. They were safely kept in my underwear drawer for years. Each card brought a smile to my face. I had forgotten how mushy he could be reading those old correspondences. Yuk ma factor of 7.0 out of 10.0, and he often wrote things to reassure me during our LDR.  Perhaps we should start sending each other cards again. Or maybe I can leave some skanky notes in his car. LOL.

Lucky Number 13

Image
KH and I had been together for 13 years. So many things had happened in between that I would definitely have many "Oh yeah!" moments if I reread my old blog posts. Recently, KH was spring cleaning his external hard drive that he came across love notes and messages that I used to send to KH while he was working in Singapore. Completely forgot about those. To mark our 13 years together, KH arranged a nice dinner in the heart of KL. FOOK is a contemporary Asian fusion restaurant located along Jalan Sultan Ismail, right before the now defunct Wisma KFC. We were actually earlier than valet attendant. Left the car out front, and climbed the long flight of stairs up to the restaurant which squats atop a small wooded hill. The bar area is large, with the counter dominated by large red lanterns. The dining area is mainly composed of wood and glass themes, and lots of paintings. The waitress showed us to our table which was located in one of the semi-private niches overlooking Jalan ...

A Dozen Teh Tariks

12th anniversary. Mamak. Guess where next year. :P

The One

Image
Sunday didn't quite turn out like I expected it. Went to early mass with SK and went to have breakfast at Chow Yang. Thought of Yu Ai's seafood noodles, but they actually don't open in the morning, so we ate at Super Kitchen instead. Immediately rushed home to work. Did a short accounting of the outstanding items and found around ninety even after I spent three hours revising the proposal. Due to the gummy weather, I worked in the nude. Can scratch that off my bucket list. I sent out my second draft and told myself in Cartman's voice, "Screw you guys, I'm going out for lunch". Of course I get dressed before heading out to a neighbourhood shop for some chicken rice. Disappointing to say the least. Hardly any meat at all for MYR5.80. Its definitely on my blacklist now. SK scheduled a Japping session at Senjyu in BVII with KH, #BF, Brian and Lifebook. Guess Bangsar is on the terrorist alert list with armed military men patrolling the night market ( n...

Movie Date

Image
When you go out on a date, are GSC and TGV ( or even MBO or Lotus ) high on your list of places to go? Is going to the movies your idea of spending quality time together? I'm quite impartial to that activity. I think of it as two people watching the same movie in the dark. Once you walk out of the hall, you get to discuss the movie a little. Did you like it? Was the dialogue annoying? Were the effects amazing? Did you cry? Was it funny? Which scene did you find to be the coolest? But KH on the other hand, loves bringing me to the movies. When the lights go out, he goes into action. If he senses that I'm cold, he would rub my hands. He would give my hand a squeeze if a romantic scene appears. My nipple would get a tweak if he's feeling cheeky. Or he would put his hand on my lap or brush my arms just to make a connection. Sometimes when he doesn't understand what's going on, he would whisper in my ear. I wonder if he would administer a hand job or blow job if we get...

Today marks the 9th year KH and I joined our hearts together. From not knowing much about each other we learned how to read each other's moods. From being insecure and jealous we became trusting. From being a single entity we started sharing all we had. From just the two of us we surrounded ourselves with caring friends. From cuti-cuti Malaysia  we explored the world together. From sugar-coated sex to graduated to something more primal. From an LDR we progressed to living in the same city. From the background, KH slowly eased to the foreground of my family life. From boyfriends we progressed to hubbies ( nearly got married! ).  I love you baby.

Beauty and the Stump

Image
Recently we discovered that our colleague was chasing after a girl. I shall refer to him Stump because that's the feeling I always get when I talk with him. A very socially-awkward fellow. His relationship seems to be a complicated affair because after so many months he couldn't confirm the status. Here's an excerpt of a conversation he had with another colleague I shall call PointBlank, a mother of two: PointBlank: You went on a Singapore with her? Stump: Uhmm.... Yes. PointBlank: You paid for everything? Stump: Uhmmm.... Hotel, flight tickets, Universal Studio tickets.... PointBlank: Nearly everything la. Stump: Uhmmm... Yes. PoitBlank: Did you hold her hand? Stump: Uhmmmm... Yes. Only in Singapore. PointBlank: Har? She won't allow you to hold her hand in KL? Stump: Uhmmm... Yeah. She says I'm not smart enough to be introduced to her friends. Perhaps later when I'm smarter and make more money than her. PointBlank: WTF?! She's playin...

Will You Marry Me?

Image
In the United States of America, the Supreme Court ruled by a 5-to-4 vote on Friday that the Constitution guarantees a right to same-sex marriage. Although in another continent, this landmark ruling caused a huge reaction in Malaysia with my FB stream cumming six colour rainbows the whole day! And its great to see even straight friends showing their support. No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were. As some of the petitioners in these cases demonstrate, marriage embodies a love that may endure even past death. It would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. Their plea is that they do respect it, respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. Their hope is not to be condemned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization’s oldest instit...

As my regular readers would know, the stuff I post on my blog is as fresh as a two month old loaf of Massimo left on the kitchen counter. Simply put, this is a weBlog with a Backlog. A blog blog. A true blog. Haha. Anyway, I'm gonna fast-forward for a special occasion-- KH and I's 8th anniversary together! On our 8th year, he didn't write me card. He didn't record me a video message. He didn't send me a telegram. He didn't send me flowers. He didn't get a tattoo with my name on it. He didn't give me a diamond ring. He didn't write me a back cheque. What he did was, he wrote me a GSC confession. LOL. And it was posted on the 28th of January, the date it all started ( with some help from the Admin ). Truth be told, I missed his confession. When I scanned through the first few sentences, it only scored 1.25 on my Skanky Scale. I got a mini scolding for that. Anyway, here's what he wrote: Love you dear. Happy Anni!  Muacks.  Muacks...

GCA XII: Chinese Food, Indian Bridge, Canadian Gelato

Image
Kenji and Andy took leave to spend the day with us. Actually Andy called in sick. Lol. Not wanting them to come all the way down to fetch us, we took the Sky Train to Lansdowne. Nearly everyone on the train was of Chinese-descent. While waiting, we did some shopping at Lansdowne Mall. They took us out for dim sum that day. Some say that dim sum in Vancouver is better than Hong Kong due to the freshness of the ingredients, but I don't agree. Sam Sui Wah looked like your typical dim sum place with Cantonese-speaking waiters, typical furniture and gilded Chinese characters on the walls. The prices were relatively steep but the portions gweilo-sized. Some of the stuff were good, but some I did not like. The weirdest item was the baked melon lolo. Halfway through, felt a bit 'zhai' and Kenji's stomach reacted to something we ordered too. Andy sent us back to their place so that Kenji could purge a bit. The place they live in is quite nice, with several housemates. The livi...

Taiwan is Good for Sex

Image
Mum and The Tribe were going to Taiwan for a week-long holiday. Hurray for my sex life! Woke up real early on Sunday morning to send them to the airport. Tummy rumblings during my drive back to Taman Puncak Jalil made me step on the pedal a little more ( but that was also because my sister's Avanza was giving out weird noises at low gear ). Stopped at Kong Kee and went very HK style that morning by ordering soup noodles with just wantans . Very yummy. Hung around the internet for a while before getting ready for church. Planned to meet JJ and Bunny for lunch at Heritage Village Cafe, but turns out that their shop in Aman Suria is no longer open ( perhaps since they have an outlet in Paradigm Mall now? ). Made a quick call to the guys and diverted to Restoran 126 instead. Not ate there in ages ever since I tried their sodium-packed bitter gourd noodles. Tried their keong nga ngap rice instead. Big portion and quite good. Their fuzuk yimai is too watered down though. Throughout...

Septième Anniversaire

Image
Noodles to Start the Day , swiped from williamnyk on Flickr. It was the last weekend before CNY and I brought mum out to do last minute shopping for groceries and fresh produce. As expected, the roads were jammed and the crowds were crazy. Parking was also sparse. Our first stop was at the Jalan Hujan Emas 8 market. The narrow bi-directional road was made narrower by inconsiderate shoppers who stopped their car by the road. When cars came from both directions, they had to squeeze their way through. Matters were made worse by the fact that many who shop there drive large, luxury cars out. :S. Why drive out an unwieldly Chevrolet Colorado out to the market where there is no proper parking? Really baffles. Saw tensions rise a bit when an old lady in a Kelisa slowly but surely scratched the side of a red Mercedes B class. Fortunately, the aunty did not ask for compensation and just sulkily drove off. Rushed over to the Nissan service centre after that. Now that I had bought the warrant...

An Ear for Love

Image
Leland and Frank , swiped from Tobyotter on Flickr. Ended up at the market on Saturday, so I had to reject Grat's invitation for breakfast at Kota Kemuning. For some reason, it was quite quiet that day. The crowds were missing. Whatever the case, it will pick up soon with CNY coming. Same old, same old at the market. The siew yuk seller had his radio on full blast and was belting out "The Great Pretender". The vegetable seller was telling an animated story about the theft of fifty ringgit notes from a fellow vendor. Tried the new restaurant at OUG-- Kopitan Penang . Large and air-conditioned, it had more staff than customers. People are averse to paying cafe prices at a wet market area perhaps. Bet they do better business at night. Selected their CKT, prawn noodles and kaya butter toast. All three were acceptable by cafe standards. Better than Old Town even. Had to babysit again as my sister had to help out at the factory. Thankfully she brought Big Monster along with h...

The Simple Pleasures Of Life

Image
Note: With me being stationed at PJ City, I had been driving instead of taking the LRT. So it was some time since I accompanied KH on the train home... On Tuesday ( please apply the will.i.am. time zone here :P ), KH and I got off work at the same time. I braved the PJ roundabouts while he joined the sardine brigade at the LRT. Waze guided me to the Seri Petaling LRT station by the way of least resistance. The timing was quite impeccable. I just needed to delay for five minutes and I managed to catch him at the station as he just exited. Fetched him home. Though the distance wasn't far, I was happy enough to be able to see him briefly and ask him about his day. Of course it did turn into a grope fest at some traffic light stops and I would certainly like to drive slower to prolong the session. LOL. Dropped him off at his condo and he would give me a peck on my cheek. During the drive home, I would have a smile plastered on my face. Ah, the simple pleasures of life.

Coincidental Confession

Image
Post Secret YOU ARE GAY , swiped from Ron Reason on Flickr. KH pointed this out to me on the GSC FB page and what I read really surprised me. Sounded like our life story, but with some slight variations. I could actually steal it and make it my own here with slight adjustments. So for those of you who missed our story, here's a good version! Gay SG Confessions It all started during a time when blogging was all the hype, before people started spilling all their thoughts on Facebook or Twitter, or finding each other using social apps on smartphones. I used to be a blogger and I followed his blog religiously. He writes very well - funny, opinionated, sarcastic - it's like music to my ears reading his entries everyday. And my, the number of fans he has, would be awesome if I had just a quarter of his. Editor: Yes, I found KH on Blogger. KH's blog read more like science journal on Elsevier rather than a magazine actually, but I still enjoyed stalking him. :P. And his blo...

A Language of Their Own

Image
Cendol , swiped from williamnyk on Flickr. For weeks, KH had been asking whether I wanna see a play entitled "A Language of Their Own" at Damansara Performing Arts Center (DPAC). About relationships, feelings and emotions in a homosexual context. Didn't really catch my fancy. No mention of nudity or hot guys or whatever. LOL. Anyway, I gave in and asked him to buy matinee tickets on a Sunday. Lifebook joined as well. Went to Mandarin mass as usual, but that day, my sister and The Tribe tagged along. Lunched at Heritage Village Cafe where we ordered the ayam pong tay, ikan asam, cendol & nasi lemak . Big Monster fiddled with his food, not particularly enthusiastic to finish his rice. On opposite ends, Little Monster was eating everything in sight and didn't even spare the discarded food waste on the table! By the time we finished, it was like the scene of a battle Food everywhere and torn tissues all over the floor. Pai seh . Since it was already 2:00pm, I asked ...
