Kerja kat Jusco ke?
What an insult. Learning from that experience, I avoided the said combination like the plague. Continuing my story, the other day, I wore a white short sleeve linen shirt with grey pants and I immediately got this
You look like a school boy.
Celaka. But as always, think of the positive. Means I still can exude youthfullness. hehe.
What can I do with my white shirts?

In the dream, my dad brought me on a foodie trip. Jalan jalan cari makan la katakan. Our first stop was a famous fried mee hoon with a generous helping of vegetables an seafood. Next was a sinful cendol with lots of coconut milk. Somewhere in between the food reviews came a subplot ala Supernatural where an evil spirit was trying to ruin somebodys life by chipping away at his soul. Random giler.
Time to buy 4D perhaps. Miss ya, dad.

I was having dinner at a hawker stall outside my office when I caught sight of a guy who seemed to have all the time in the world. It was like taichi. Every scoop of rice took 30 seconds to find its way to his mouth. He would stare at the traffic. Pause, with spoon in midair. After the rice, he slowly pored over the menu, quietly consulting the waiter on what was good. A plate of fried chicken came later and he did not acknowledge its arrival. He puffed away on his ciggie before having his first bite. Finishing that, he sippede his coke. After meticulously wiping his hands, he left.
Amazing, right. And you know what. He is cute. haha.

People around me have been asking me to upgrade. To go LCD. To go Plasma. I shall not write it off without getting the professionals to appraise the situation.
For the time being, my tv just turns on for a few seconds before shutting down in white flash. If its mood is good, it will let me watch for a couple of hours. But that is getting rarer. Pray for my tv, guys and girls. Or pray that I will hit 4D and be able to before a Plasma tv. Haha.

What is wrong? Are you ok?
Nothing. It is nothing.
I hear the soothing words, but it sometimes just does not register. It just feeds my anger. I do not know why I get annoyed at the smallest of things with him at times. It is so unfair to say that it is because I love him. Perhaps I subconsciously do it to get his attention. Perhaps it is sent up stress from work. Either way, I definitely need to cool myself down and show the proper respect for the person I love.
Sorry, baby. I love you.

Some weekends back, Mel, my oldest friend from my Uni Perdana GPL (Goreng Pisang and Lekor) times got engaged to her boyfriend, BB. Was truly happy for her, because I had been through all the ups and downs with her. A veritable minefield of race (Mel's Indian, whereas BB's Punjabi), religion (Mel's Roman Catholic, while BB's a Sikh), in-laws and ex's. The happy occassion was very low-key with just BB's relatives, Mel's immediate family and a few select friends (score!). It was held at her new home in Kajang, so it was also kind of a house-warming too. Nobody knew how to get thee, so SK, my mum and I waited for her to guide us in. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she got delayed, so we killed time at the nearby Tesco. We were so over-dressed!
By the time we got there, we were already late. Most of the guests had arrived by the time we walked in with the ritual gifts (clothes, fruits, sweetcakes, a tray of chrysanthemum, rock sugar and a husked coconut dusted with cumin). I'm sure it was quite a sight for BB's relatives that Mel's entourage was half-Chinese. She looked resplendant in a beautiful red saree, accompanied by her parents and pregnant sister (she lost her blimp status the next day, giving birth to cute baby girl). SK drew stares too. Everyone else was in modest Punjabi suits, whereas she came in a short dress and started drinking beer on arrival. LOL.
At the start, things were quite awkward as there were many unfamiliar faces. However things got on track soon enough. An eye-opener for me, really. Never been to a Punjabi engagement ceremony before. Firstly, they seated Mel and BB on the couch. Then BB's mother put a scarf over her head. One by one, relatives came forward to give their blessings by circling dollar bills (I did that for her with my ang pau later in the night, :P) around their heads and feeding them with coconut candy. Rings were exchanged after a beautiful speech from Mel's dad. At the end, they cut a cake and fed each other, signalling the start of dinner.
After dinner, the guests started to leave. Towards the end of the night, we had our whisky cokes and camwhored a bit. Congratulations to Mel and BB again... Can't wait for the wedding.

Dreamt that I was an ADUN for Penang and that I was having a meeting with my boss, Lim Guan Eng. Strangely, his face was clear. The impression I got was that he was a real jerk of a superior. Haha.
Jaded Jeremy hypothesised that the dream came about from the chat I had with him regarding senatorship. Claims that I subconsciously want to enter politics. A remote possibility. But I would not mind having cute interns around me if that reality materialised. Hehe.

Made it a point to go to QueerR's farewell many Saturdays ago. My object was 3-fold:
- To send off one of the pioneer members of my alternate friends group
- To raid his 32GB of PSP games (forgot to raid his 70GB of porn)
- To catch up with the gang at one go (specifically Takashi and Jase)
Entertainment was provided by Janvier-- the Wii. But mostly, we entertained ourselves by mingling, using QueerR's internet, chatting with QueerR's mum (she thinks I look like a certain celebrity, but can't put her finger on it-- I'm hoping it's not Suneo), eating, camwhoring (JY brought 2 flashes-- double the fun), and discussing about boobs and how to measure their weight (shocking, ain't it?). Met Starwing for the first time and Leesh let me fool with her red sunglasses. Can't believe I spent around 5 hours there! Plenty of food leftover (fried beehoon for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea, dinner and supper also can't finish), but we still went out for dinner.
Dinner was at Nong and Jimmy's Thai Seafood Barbeque, Ampang. Wasn't quite in the condition to eat any BBQ food (supposedly famous for their BBQ crabs, but JL says they're quite tasteless), so we ordered other stuff. The butter prawns, mango salad and grilled cuttlefish were good. But the rest were not up to expectations. The steamed siakap was quite tasteless and the tom yum was average. Had an interesting side dish of mini cakwe with kaya. Desert was at Restoran Han Nam and we said our goodbyes to QueerR.
All the best in Miri!

I dreamt that a taxi driver fell in love with me. Not an uncle, mind you, but a young chap. From the impression I got, I had been on his taxi a few times and we knew a bit about each other. In my dream, he suddenly confessed his feelings for me with a pair of cobalt earrings. I remember him vaguely telling me that there is a significance to it, but I cannot put my finger on it now. He kissed me in drin of my porch. I was so freaked out as my mum was watering the plants. But it turns out that she did not see anything. Suddenly, the scene changed and I was backstage at a school performance. Four teams duking it out on stage.
Weird? I cannot explain it.

Ample rest seems elusive too with my hectic work schedule and my rebelliousness towards sleeping early.

It wasn't a dark and stormy night - that's really a clichéd beginning for a story. For Julien, it was bright enough to see the faint outline of Philip's naked body. Philip was sleeping soundly on the silk satin bedsheet, but Julien just couldn't even get his eyes close on that full moon night. He was looking out the dusty windows, lightly holding the almost empty wine glass. Then, he caught a glimpse of a shadow... who was this stranger in the night?
Julien silently shut the window and kept in the shadows, to avoid being silhouetted in the moonlight. "Must get the job done quickly now," he thought while appreciating Philip's physique, "before he gets back." He downed the remains of the wine, then took out his garrotte. Why do I always get the good-looking ones? he pondered as he got into bed, cradled Philip's head and slid the garrotte around Philip's neck. Then Julien yanked and Philip jerked awake, only to have Julien flip him facedown on the bed and pressed his body down on his, his face smothered by the pillow and Julien still strangling him, when the bedroom door slammed open.
Julien retreat off of the bed leaving Philip's lifeless body. Swiftly he reached for his shirt, knocking the wine glass off the side table. "What have you done?!!", a loud voice came from the door, "Not this one, not right here!!". Julien stood by the bed quiet as a mice, with his head hanging low. The light from the door shine into the dark room, as if spotlighted onto Philip's body while a shadow grew longer reaching the face of Philip.
But then it stopped. The creeping shadow halted, as if time stood still, and the approaching figures outside the door had frozen in place. Julien kept silent, his eyes and ears, vigilant, knowing that even the slightest of movements could trigger the shadows - the frozen figures that spoke of undesired calamity.
“For Hera’s sake, could you please keep that aside?! I strictly told you to refrain yourself from using the powerful one... Wait. He’s still in there. I can sense his energy. His fear. Even so, our beloved Phillip is far too devious to just play dead. Fine. Use it.”
It was a man, and he was not alone.
One of the men produced a verrrry suspicious-looking phallic instrument about 8 inches long which he flicked on. Brilliant white light shone forth from it to illuminate the scene at the bed but Julien wasn't anywhere in sight.
"I really wish you didn't bring that obscene looking flash light of yours here. Couldn't you be a little more serious about work?"
"Oh, don't bother about me and keep concentrating on finding him."
"Just switch on light, dimwit!!"
Julien looked around him. Now he had to get a way out of the room, and it had to be quick before the guys found him. For the moment, jumping out from the windows was his only option. After a minute of rummaging around, one of the guys managed to find the light switch.....
"I found it!" he says and flicked the switch but nothing happened. The light wouldn't turn on and both of them turned their attention to the faulty switch.
This was the diversion Julien has been waiting for. Swiftly, he sprinted fast and silently like a cat towards the opened window. It was freezing cold with winter winds but he had to get out of there.
"Stop right there if you still want to be in one piece." Julien froze as his mind was turning quick about what to do next when the light suddenly came on.
"You idiot, told you to switch on the lights and you got the socket." The man had a gun in his hand, pointing straight at Julien. "So you think you can get away this time? I don't think so."
"You must know, bullets won't do me any harm," Julien replied calmly, while still thinking about a way to get out of this situation.
"Heh heh... I have the powerful one to help me this time. It's game over for you now."
"Is that so? Let's see how fast your bullets are," Julien replied and he dashed to the door with supersonic speed, knocked the second guy who is blocking at the door to the floor.
The first guy fires his gun towards Julien continuously but all of them misses the target, and without any hesitant, Julien sped to the main door but his steps stopped there.
"Freddie... Get out of my way."
"Awwww... Why the rush? How long we haven't seen each other? Don't you miss me?"
Julien was immediately stunned by that statement. Yes. Julien used to have a wonderful time with Freddie. Freddie, being a pilot, was required to fly around at least twice a month, for a period of two weeks each time. Whenever Freddie was in another country, he would definitely give Julien a call, started off saying, "Don't you miss me?"
"GET OUT OF MY WAY! I SAID!"
All of a sudden, the temperature of the room dropped drastically.
25… 22… 15… 5… 0… -10
Everything in the room became lifeless, frozen in a black thick sheet of ice. Julien's eyes were glowing in green and his lips curved into a sinister smile.
"I told ya".
But even as he turned to make his getaway, Julien found himself tensing as he felt something cold and sinister slip between his ribs. Green eyes widened in silent astonishment as he slid lifelessly to the ground clutching at the slim dagger piercing his side, teardrops of scarlet dripping heedlessly to the ground.
"Tsk tsk... I knew you would betray me, Julien. I'm not the man you thought I was. Do you think I'd be such a foolish dupe? You're certainly not the first assassin who has tried. Ever since you first accidentally bumped into me, I've had your moves tracked. I know who you work for, Julien. And I decided to test your loyalty as Freddie as well."
That familiar voice was chillingly clear even as Julien's vision blurred with every moment that passed. "W-what? Phillip? But I killed...""Tried to kill me twice, didn't you?" Freddie's face changed like liquid metal metamorphosing into the face of the man he loved. Phillip?
As he lay dying, Julien watched his killer through blurred vision. First, it was Freddie, then now Phillip - but, but wasn't Phillip already dead on the bed, smothered under the pillow with the iron wire twisted so deeply that it cut into the flesh of his muscular neck? Unless this was all really a dream (and it would be a terrible ending for a story), then Phillip wouldn't really be standing before him now - would he?
But there was Phillip still - his muscular physique firm and clear, silhouetted in the glow of the full moon. Although Julien could hardly see now - the idea, the very aura of this twist of events was admittedly beyond his expectations. But then, he had never expected much anyway - it was always assignment after assignment of murder, from the very first day he was born. Julien was his name of course, but it was new - known only to the men the Fraternity's Loom of Destiny had ordered execution, and the members of the Fraternity themselves. But from where he once trained, there were no names. They were given numbers.
Suddenly there were rays of light and loud chants... that's the last thing he remembers before he passed out.
The sweet smell of myrrh mixed with honey was the first thing that came to his mind as he regained consciousness.
Julien couldnt move his body, an indescribable sense of heaviness surrounds his body.
"Dont move, I've put a healing charm on you... plus a binding spell."
"Who are you?.... where am I?...." asked Julien in weak voice, at the same time noticing that he is not having any clothes on...
"You're in Perm*tang Pauh, we need to take photos of u with war war so that we can frame him of sodomy.... muahahahhaha"
p/s: pls feel free to take off the last line ;p
"Foolish assassin, the Fraternity has betrayed you and left you for dead.", intoned his captor who immediately wove another spell to break his mind. His mind reeling from the psychic attack, Julien scrambled to find his inner sanctuary, his center. "You are merely grasping at straws, assassin.", taunted his captor as the chants intensified. "That voice... could it be?!", thought Julien as every muscle in his powerful body strained against the magical onslaught.
"Soon, my pet, you shall be the property of the Sorority..."
... to be continued ...

Nearly everyone has blogged about the Olympics. From the opening ceremony to the cute athletes to the queer atheletes to our expected failed bid for an olympic badminton gold to man-stuck-in-bench to failed China track and field hero. It's all so very interesting, but with work and lack of RTM1 or Pay-TV, my exposure to the games has been minimal. Heck, I didn't even watch the opening ceremony. Was with my colleagues eating dinner at Kim Gary Beyond at table 88. SUch a coincidence to be sitting there on 08/08/08. Too bad we didn't time our departure at 08:08:08pm. Anyway, I miss oogling at the gymnasts and divers. Sigh, even Athens 2004 was a blur for me. It's sad to let such a big event just pass by. Perhaps YouTube will be my saviour...
Have you collected all the Fuwa's from McDonalds?

Yes folks. The boyfriend is back again and I am really stumped as to what to do and where to go. I feel pressured to do something special, but to us maybe even the most mundane can be considered special due to our distance.
Anyway, will be looking forward to spending time with him. Any time IS quality time.

INDIRECTLY. Then what happens directly?
THUMB OF RULE. sic. What a dumbass.
CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG. As if he will admit making a mistake.
TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. What extent is that? We will never know.
Bersyukurlah if you have a good boss. To the unlucky ones, sabar itu separuh dari iman.

The Swordsman is based on Louis Cha's famous novel. I have not read the novel (the disadvantages of not knowing how to read Chinese), so I do not know how accurate it is, but it is a good screenplay. Everything revolves around The Sunflower Scroll, a mysterious kungfu manual that grants its practitioner awesome powers. Once again, we have the leader of the East Chamber going out full force to try and retrieve the stolen scroll. The hero of the story is Ling Wu Chung, played by a semi-annoying Sam Hui, whose master is the epitome of the "fake gentleman". To add flavour to the story, we have the Sun Moon Sect and the revelation of the internal power struggle in the Wah Mountain Sword School. Later in the story (sequels), we get to see it all culminate with the emergence of Asia the Invincible (a character that is synonymous with Brigitte Lin).
Any others to recommend?
