Mooncakes at the Park

Image
Once a year, my BEC organizes an outing. In the pre-pandemic days, we would usually have a day trip. In the past, we had ventured as far as Melaka. In such restrictive times, we settled for a small gathering at the Bukit Jalil Recreational Park. Bright and early, we had a socially-distanced warm up session on a grassy field. Then some of us went for a jog, while the rest opted for a Taichi session. At the end of the gathering, we had a breakfast potluck. For the first time ever, I had mooncakes for breakfast.   At night, we had a Japanese dinner at Zakuro , Bukit Jalil. Food there was pretty good, and the owner was very friendly. Then KH went to buy a whole burnt cheesecake from Say Cheese Cafe . After that, we had a short grocery shopping trip to Super Seven. Stopped at Nyonya Platter for a yumcha session. Their sets were so attractive we abandoned the idea of just ordering drinks. Ended up with teh tarik , sirap ros , asam laksa, and kaya butter toast. As though we weren't stu

Mystery Leak

Image
For the past several years, my house had been plagued by a mystery leak. The problem affected the master bedroom toilet. Whenever the master bedroom water inlet was unlocked, the whole water tank would empty within a few hours with no sign of where the water went. No leaking, no ponding, nothing. Mind-boggling. Because of that, we kept the water inlet locked. Two plumbers couldn't diagnose the problem. Perhaps they thought it was too troublesome a problem, and didn't want to get involved. The third plumber we engaged pin-pointed the problem fairly quickly. When I described the problem to him, he already knew where the problem was. He lived in my area, and had already encountered similar issues at other houses. I was completely dumbfounded when he told me that the problem originated from my porch. He told me to unlock the water inlet and put my ear to the ground near a pillar at my porch. Originally that pillar had a tap which we had sealed more than a decade ago. He was right,

The Benefits of Working From Home

Image
The MCO had introduced working from home to many who never had the 'luxury'. In my whole working life, I never worked from home before. And I saw so many benefits : 1. No morning commute. 2. More sleep ( refer to previous point ). 3. No dress code.  4. No office clothes to iron ( refer to previous point ). 5. No evening commute ( where Netflix standstills are common ).  6. Do whatever the heck you want because nobody is watching you.  For me, the last point is the best. Working from home is the biggest boost to my sex life. I have the whole house to myself, and KH would come over for a quick shag provided I didn't have any concalls. He jokingly suggested that he could suck me off while I was in the call. I would very much prefer being fucked. Does an orgasm increase productivity throughout the day? How ethical is it to be skanking on company's time? Or do I need to record my skank sessions into my timesheet?

More Marcuse

Image
Ever since I got my first pair of Marcuse swim trunks , I was impressed with the quality of the Australian brand. It was a yellow pair with a cute doggy decal at the side. Wore it once , and I was hooked. Out in the sun, the vibrant yellow was really eye-catching, and most importantly the fit was good, and the Italian lycra from Carvico was very comfortable. And so, I was itching for a second purchase, and it happened in September during one of their sales. Bought another two pairs although I don't really need them. And remember my post about having too many? LOL. What do you think of my choices? P.S. : Never have I put some links in one post!

Krazy Korean

Image
Been a while since mum and I had Korean for dinner, so I thought to revisit our favourite Restoran Seoul Korea at Taman Desa. Knowing how bad the weekend crowd can be, we arrived five minutes before 6 PM. Know what? That wasn't early enough. There was a forty minute wait ahead of us. In usual cases, I wouldn't wait, but since we already had our hearts set on it.... It was quite crazy actually. At 6 PM, there was a large crowd that exited the restaurant. Must have started eating at 5! Anyway, it was worth the wait. Ordered my regular spicy kimchi tofu soup and a portion of grilled pork.  Once we had our fill, we went to a nearby China grocery store named Yigo. Think they took over the shoplot from Signature Fei Fei Crab. I was fascinated by the sheer varieties of vacuum packed chicken leg snacks that they carry! Salt-baked, mala , with bone, deboned. You name it, they have it. Pig trotters too! Bought some instant noodles-- no guys to try the chicken feet yet!

Best Before Party

KH asked me to meet him at Teddy Cafe at Zenith Corporate Park. Bloody had to make two u-turns on LDP because I kept missing the junction and there was only one access road to the place. He was there because of his mum's dental appointment. Cooled down with a cute bear-y affogato. I melted its face off with a shot of espresso. Loitered there as long as we could before heading off to our next appointment. Once in a while, SimonLover invites a bunch of friends over to his condo for a dinner. When we arrive, he always looks stressed while preparing the food. He would be fretting in the kitchen in his short shorts.  Surely we offer a helping hand, but he usually shoo-es us out of the kitchen. He would rather we wait in the living room and watch Netflix ( have to get the parental lock code from him.... whatttttt.... ).  That night, we had our usual guests-- Khatijah, ForIHaveSinned, JJ, Bunny, KH, and KH's  anak  Mic. Traditionally, the main dish was BKT. He had one pot with lean m
