Trying Out Twenty Twenty

Image
During most of secondary school, the buzzwords were "Wawasan 2020" and "Rakan Muda". Those two things were a cure-all. Well, the latter had been trampled into obscurity, while the former is staring us in face right now. Are we a developed nation? Far from it. But whatever the case, we must continue to grow. And to grow, one must start the year right. Between KH and I, starting the year right is having a paktor session on New Year's day. We met up for breakfast at Restoran New Lian Hin in Kuchai Lama. I had the pork noodles, while he went for the sinful nasi lemak with curry chicken. From there, we made a little skip and hop to Little Jungle Coffee House for their specialty iced coffee called Geng Chow Bing . It literally means Super Iced. For the uninitiated, it's a large mug of frothy kopi ping topped with in a incredible huge chunk of iced kopi o . Sounds interesting right? But I personally don't like it because it reminds me of iced mocha. Also

Welcome Home KH

Image
KH was finally back from his trip, so we celebrated with a nice dinner at Little Pig . Been meaning to try this modern tapas restaurant since we saw it during our last sojourn to The Hub SS2. The restaurant is located on the second floor, and has two distinct styles. Turn to your left for the usual restaurant setting~ woody interior, and ambient lighting. If you're in a different mood, turn right to the bar area with its dark interior, neon lights, and metal finishing. If you're ever there, you must order the Crispy Pork Belly Eel Bao. It really is more dim sum than tapas, but every bite is heavenly. Its actually like a mini mantao slider that is embedded with egg yolk gel on top. In between is crispy Spanish Duroc pork belly with teriyaki sauce. Every bite is an explosion of piggy power. And remember, use your hands for this. The ribs was fall off the bones, but pretty mild in terms of flavour. If you feel like getting a bit high, go for the sangria. Rather than a

GOODDAM Birthday

Image
KH celebrated my birthday at the end of September because he would travelling in the first half of October. He had scheduled a short stop in Tokyo, before proceeding to Salt Lake City for the Nu Skin global convention. Our date was on a Friday night after work. Reservations were made at GOODDAM at The Hub SS2. It was a part of SS2 that I had never seen before. And the name of that modern Italian restaurant is... God damn, kan!? The place looked pretty classy, and it was quiet. Most of the serving and kitchen staff looked really young. Right out of culinary school. The menu was small, but interesting~ fusion cuisine incorporating local ingredients. For refreshments, we had a cube of chilled watermelon with applemint. Then they brought out yummy bread with butter and a dollop of palm sugar. The first main we had was Tajarin Yolk Pasta. A simple-looking dish of pasta tossed with egg yolk, hazelnuts, cured meat, and sheep cheese. Then came the meat dish of Glazed Pork Ribs which cam

Jelajah Cikgu J

Image
Cikgu J and King were in KL, spreading kesucian Ipoh in the Klang Valley. Arranged a meet up with them at Eko Cheras Mall. When they arrived, they were all flustered and sweaty, with another friend in tow, Tango. Tango is your typical pocket gay, with a huge archive of skanky stories to tell. Our initial bitching and gossiping session was Taste by Champignons . KH ordered hot chicken soup for me ( was feeling a weak, but thankfully recovered ), and pork chop for himself. Wasn't impressed with the stuff there. We did some window shopping in the mall to burn some time. When it was time for dinner, we had noodles at Ah Koong Restaurant , a place famous for its fishballs. Most shocking was the fact that we could camwhore so much at a fishball restaurant. They truly are Ipoh's creme de la crème. Cikgu J and gang rushed off to the ETS after dinner, while KH and I stayed back for a bit to paktor at Muyoo , a bakery specializing in oversized, fluffy, pillow-like buns. Can'

Friday Paktor

Image
KH brought me out on a Friday night date at Sri Petaling. As expected, it was bustling, but we managed to wade through the nightmarish traffic and find our cafe~ CRP 45 . Weird name right? The cafe is actually named after health program called Cell Renewal Program in 45 Days. Trust the Entertainer App to recommend all sorts of places that we otherwise would not try. The place was pretty empty when we arrived, just one other couple was there. We had the chicken chop, and the siew yuk pizza. KH chatted up the nice boys behind the counter and discovered that the bosses were closing down the cafe business in the coming month. Guess our visit was timely. Then it was off to find something sweet at Dessert Bar by Stanley Choong . Also my first time there. The Opera cake was very pretty and had a layer of caramelized salted nuts. Many layers of enjoyment and textures. The guy behind the counter was very friendly, and I was guessing the guy in the kitchen was Stanley. Haha. He didn'

Lunch Date 2019

Image
KH had been working very hard fighting for his success in the Nu Skin platform, so we hadn't been seeing very much of each other. So when he took me out for lunch on Friday, I was truly happy that we could spend some time together. Sharing a simple plate of wantan noodles and a bowl of dumplings is as good as dining at a fancy restaurant. After noodles at Restoran K. Intan , we had coffee at Cafe Tujoh located at the same row. It was a great place to chill, drink coffee, and enjoy each other's company.

Dim Birthday

Image
Some four days after my birthday, KH jio -ed me for dinner, just the two of us at Work @ Clearwater. Grabbed a GRAB to the building at Bukit Damansara. He made reservations at Way Modern Chinois , a place for modern Chinese cuisine. The security guard assured me that the restaurant was in the building, but I couldn't spot the entrance. I doubled checked the address. Then I noticed an elevator door printed with "THIS WAY TO MODERN CHINESE CUISINE". "Oh, upstairs kah?", I thought and proceeded to press the button. The door opened and I was confused again because that very well wasn't an elevator. Turns out that the restaurant was hiding behind that tiny door. Not exactly good feng shui for business with an entrance like that. The interior was pretty dark with each table an island of light thanks to the small spotlights in the ceiling. Although hidden, had quite a number of customers. KH arrived later than me, so I had time to pore through the menu. With

Face to Face II: Massage and Makan

Image
The morning of our Staycation was not wasted. Being a bottom, I was itching for KH's cock to be inside me. Yesterday's topping session... well... was nice.... but I still prefer to be the catcher. We got down to business and I got my sexual satisfaction, not too worried that our housemate would hear. Then we had a simple breakfast of buns and coffee from Family Mart before proceeding to check out ( no need to lock the door, just dump the key into an unlocked postbox... wow ). Our next destination was Healthland Signature at Taman Desa for a happy ending hour massage. Our Thai boy massage therapists were decent, but not great. Never knew that the signature branch had its own cafe. Finished past lunch hour, and boy were we famished. Even the roadside nasi kukus ayam goreng berempah had sold its last packet, and so we had to hunt for food elsewhere. Found Ohsawa Cafe at a nearby row of shops. The interior was decorated with Studio Ghibli characters, with Kaonashi featur

Face to Face I: Infinity Pool

Image
It had been a very long time since KH and I had a getaway, so he jio -ed me for a staycation at The Faces Suites, Kuala Lumpur. On Monday, I left work during lunch time to meet KH at Senya Dining , Intermark. Had a gyudon with onsen egg. The egg was served separately, and that gave me a 'great' idea. I wanted to film KH pouring the wobbly egg onto the top of beef-topped rice bowl. I got what I wanted, but the egg actually rolled off the bowl! Like watching Cooper's Hill Cheese Run. Before leaving, we had a coffee at Starbucks. The Face Suites is located just opposite Renaissance Hotel. The bad thing about is that you have to pay for parking. The good thing is that it has an unobstructed view of KLCC and KL Tower from its infinity pool. But there's a catch, you have to brave the the loads of PRC and Middle Eastern tourists who jump into the pool. Plenty of girls in bikinis, but no cute guys in tiny Speedos! The place is not just a luxury condominium, half of it
