LRT Celebrities: Kopitiam Karl

Image
First of all, let me apologize that this isn't my SpyPic art at its best. The angle was bad and there were too many bystanders. Hehe. So this will just have to do. FYI, Karl is one cool looking fella. A mess of curly hair on his head and a pair of swishy crucifix earrings flanking his face. Paired with that facial hair, definitely pirate material. But that is not my main point, else I would have dubbed him Pirate Pete. With his earphones on, he was in his own little world. He was standing right at the entrance of the PUTRA LRT car welcoming all incoming passengers. I took one look at his face and proceeded to gaze down... you know what? His coffee shop was open! Seemed to be bursting open at that due to his tight slacks. Hehe. Lucky for him, his underwear was still not visible else it would have cause a makcik  or two to scream in delight. I wanted to tell him, but with his loud music I think it would have been quite a challenge: "Your fly is open." "What?"

LRT Celebrities: Macy Gray

For some reason, LRT Celebrities is one of my more popular segments on my blog. Quite surprised that a reader approached me with his own contribution. Brings a warm feeling to my heart knowing that I managed to encourage people to become LRT voyeurs. LOL. Who knows, maybe one day, someone would submit a picture and I would go... "That ass looks very familiar... OMG, IT'S ME!" A probable future. LOL. Anyway, today's episode is sponsored by Ash Eats Godiva and it definitely isn't me! Here's what Ash had to say about her. "you know what...her hairstyle brighten my day and make me feel my fever better....may god bless her and may she spread the happiness like herpes.lol" Her hair is kinda interesting. Definitely reminds me of Macy Gray. Who would have thought that an afro has the power to spread happiness. :). Keep on clicking!

LRT Celebrities: El-Ar-T

La-la-li-tam-plong! Today is 2011's first edition of LRT Celebrities. No format change will take place and we shall continue to uncover the interesting side of commuters on the LRT. This time round, I highlight the height of lala-ness . Lala #1 on the left is your typical big-eyed kid with sharp facial features and J-Pop hair. At certain angles he does look quite pleasant but what caught my eye was the fact that he was using powder on his face. I guess it was cover some of his acne scars. Still it was quite obvious and I don't I will ever paint my face with the exception of doing a studio photoshoot. Clothes-wise he was in tight fitting slacks, slim-cut shirt and pointy leather shoes. The look is completed with a little angst-y frown. The epitome of the office lala . Lala #2 is your typical Berjaya Times Square breed. Going around town shopping at MYR10 shops. Gangly and tanned with fantastic plunging V-neck, complete with super bling necklace. He's going for the whole W

che Swiped from ewilman . FYI, this is something that happened ages ago. Around three years ago, when I first started dating KH. Don't think I've ever blogged about this ( but if I did, then just blame my aging brain ). Found nothing after searching through my 1000+ posts. Being based at the Masjid Jamek area, I would sometimes venture down to the KLCC area to have lunch with the Jaylex Foundation, EarlGrey and Leggy. Maklumlah , long lunch break on Fridays. Well, nothing special about that, just that my trip back to the office was quite out of the ordinary. As I was waiting for the PUTRA LRT to arrive at Ampang Park, I spotted two tourists. One tall and a bit chubby, while the other was short and cheeky ( lets call 'em Chubby and Cheeky ). In their 30s I think. Cheeky had a straw hat on his head. I looked at them. They looked at me. The difference was, Cheeky gave me a big grin. I pretended not to see. We boarded the same, mostly empty train car. Standing by the d

LRT Celebrities: Karaoke Kyaw

Image
See the guy on the left? With the earphones? Not cute, right? Well, the reason I noticed was due to his beautiful voice . There I was in the train fiddling with my iPhone when I heard a very weird sound from the other side of the train. Sounded very much like a kid whining. I looked left. I looked right. ( not trying to cross the street la ). Yet I did not see any kids. Ignore it. Then the strange whining started again. Huh? The train was only half-full, but still I could not find the source of the sound. Then I looked straight ahead. Karaoke Kyaw was happily mumbling along to the song he was listening too. Myanmarese was my first guess. Pretty amazing, not much lip movement and he could throw his voice to one side of the train! Do you ever put on your earphones in your office and start singing? My ex-colleague used to do it and boy it was quite a spectacle. A quiet office atmosphere suddenly punctuated with very jiwang ( inspired by Savante ) and off-key singing. Everyone would look

Burn The Midnight Oil & Burn Yourself

The Faint - 3/11/2007 @ The Waiting Room Swiped from Wetchman . Sleep is very important. Our battery is recharged during that period. With quality sleep, we emerge the next day refreshed and ready to face whatever shit the day has in store for us. Sometimes ( OK la, most of the time ), I will doze on the LRT to catch up on a little more rest. Even if I can't fall asleep, I would rest my eyes. Last Friday, I was awakened from my short nap by a thud. Macam jatuhnya sebii nangka busuk . An African student had collapsed like a log onto the floor. Just that nobody yelled "Timber!". As with all unexpected situations, the other passengers were shocked at what to do at first, but they jumped into action fairly quickly. A space was cleared for her and people started offering water and medicated oil. But she was still incoherent, shaking, crying and grunting in pain. The methyl salicilate had awakened her, so they propped her up. But as soon as they did that, she collapsed

LRT Celebrities: Faux Fufu & PDA Pete

Image
Hello everybody! I'm back with another episode of "LRT Celebrities" . If you followed my FB status some time back, you would remember that I mentioned about some cute French students on the STAR LRT. Was quite disappointed that I could not spy cam the cutest of 'em all, but quicker than you could say "Parlez-vous français?", I was able to "record" the boy nearest to me. As you can see, he's of Asian descent and in my opinion bears some resemblence to Fufu!! Well, Faux Fufu doesn't look too bad actually, just take I captured him with a scowl on his face. Perhaps he was pissed with PDA Pete nearby. You see, PDA Pete walked into the train with PDA Patty in tow. Not smartphone type of PDA, but lai-lai, cheh-cheh type of PDA. Touchy-touchy. Manja-manja . Giggle-giggle. Yehhhh-yehhhhhhh . Pull-pull here. Pull-pull there. The type of scene where you would not hesistate to poke your eyes out with a giant fork ala Kassim Selamat. Annoying. For so

LRT Celebrities: Guitar Gary

Image
Guitar Gary works in KL Sentral. He sports loads of yakuza-style tattooes on his arms. Whenever I see him on STAR LRT, he'd have his headphones on and his HTC Smart would no doubt be blasting guitar riffs. He'd be tapping his foot and his air guitar would appear. And when his air guitar is deemed insufficient, his hands would go for the stainless steel poles. His fingerwork would bring him snaking up and down. Reminds me of Jackie Chan in the movie "Snake in Eagle's Shadow". Itchy hands he has. Syok tak ? Do you have moments when you get carried away on the LRT? Raise your hand if you've pulled off any Matuatama stunt. Hehe.

LRT Celebrities: MSG Max & Seedy Sam

Image
A couple of sweet-looking boys. In a few years, they'd be twinky enough to harvest I reckon. Sorry, I don't have any frontal shots for you to confirm that fact. Just take my word for it. But then, I'm not blogging about their looks actually... As you know, I've seen many shocking things on the LRT, but this somehow managed to make my jaw drop. The kid on the left was actually eating Maggi cup noodles. He was slurping away on the train! Must have bought it at a 7-11 nearby and by the time he had boarded, it was chow time! Amazing right? So Air Asia. And I thought eating nasi lemak on the train from the packet was news-worthy. Kids these days. The other day, another bunch from La Salle regaled me with their stimulating banter: Kid 1: Ona-ni! ONANI! ONANIIIIIIII! (while flapping his arms) Kid 2: Lancap! Kid 1: Onani. Onani. Onani. Onani. Onani. Onani. Onani. Classy, right? Lovely kids.
