Fifth Roar: Tyre-d of BKT?

BKT Breakfast

KH did all the necessary checking and found a BKT place in Klang that was open on the fifth day of CNY-- Restoran Weng Heong, one of approved entries in Gratitude's list. He treated us to a big, meaty breakfast, a mix of soup and dry BKT. Klang Food Centre was also open, so we also left with bags of pau. With nothing else better to do, we went to Central i-City for coffee. Thought Chong Kok would be open, but it wasn't. The Loaf came to our rescue instead. The shopping scene there was also pretty lame, but the CNY decorations of choice was really quite unique, incorporating very stylized illustrations by Phannapast Taychamaythakool, a Thai artist.

Walked into Nale for a fried nasi lemak lunch and was later greeted to a familiar face-- Namewee. Turns out he was there with the case the cast of Nasi Lemak 1.0 which ironically is the sequel to Nasi Lemak 2.0. Since we had nothing better to do, we stayed on for the promotional junket at the center court. From our observation, there were only three fans, the rest were just coincidentally there. One fella brought a pair of oversized, red Namewee merch boxer shorts to be signed (ikr?), and another dressed up like low-BMI Namewee impersonator. Didn't know the other actors except Saiful Apek. OK la, time to balik.

Fried Nasi Lemak

Before getting into the car, I usually have a quick glance at the tyres, and my, oh my, the passenger-side front tyre of SK's car was flat. The Mazda 3 was actually a company car, and she was due to to return it the coming week. Guess it was acting up. Dug out the jack and managed to change the tyre. A few jumps was enough to loosen the bolt. Can't remember the last time I changed a tyre. Once that was done, we drove to a nearby petrol station to inflate the spare. Then the treasure hunt began. No tire shops were open in the vicinity. In the end, we decided to try our luck back in KL. Drove really slow.

Nasi Lemak 1.0 Promo Junket

At Taman Equine and Taman Puncak Jalil, we found tyre that were open for business. Unfortunately, the tyre size that were looking was not available. The 215 is really unpopular. In desperation, we took the 225 instead. By the time we were done, it was already dinner time. Truly a long day.
