Tokyo 2020
The Olympics Tokyo 2020 (which happened in 2021) came and went. Felt a tad underwhelming. Just paid attention to the highlights.
- Misc. news. Interestingly, Tokyo was in a state of emergency during the games, which also meant no serving of alcohol. And then there was news about the so-called anti-sex beds in the Olympics village.
- Opening ceremony. Didn't sit through it, but the live action pictograms were cool because it used the concept of the kabuki kuroko or stagehand. Very fast-paced and I got a bit dizzy from the ever-changing camera angles. And the talk of the town was the Tongan flagbearer, Pita Taufatofua, who was topless and looked like he fell into a vat of pork lard.
- Artistic Gymnastics. Daiki Hashimoto. He's a natural on the pommel horse, and I would find it very natural to see him being pummeled in a COAT Athlete video as well.
- Diving. Tom Daley was often in the limelight, either while in skimpy swim trunks (SimonLover commented that his swim trunks beat those of the Japanese) or while knitting for charity on the sidelines. The Chinese divers contributed plenty of crimson bulges too.
- Badminton. Malaysia won a bronze for the men's doubles, and was rewarded with pixelated thighs.
- Athletics. Watched Marcel Jacobs from Italy clinch the 100m gold. A shock victory.
- Synchronized Swimming. ROC really nailed it. Who is ROC? A technicality to allow Russian athletes to compete, because Russia is under a ban for doping.
Think that's all I paid attention to. Anyway, the internet has been very helpful in compiling the things I would be interested in.

It was so fast-paced that there was no room for mistakes. Difficult for the guy to recover from an initial mistake.
@RB:
Wonder if the cost was lower since it was 'scaled down'.
The video you shared is interesting.
