YB Teresa Kok had a Mid-Autumn event at the Sri Petaling Community Center, so mum was roped in to help out. She was tasked with selling her delicious nasi lemak at one of the food stalls. Preparations began a few days before~ buying ingredients from the market, peeling shallots, frying anchovies and peanuts, etc. On the actual day, mum began cooking. Never have we cooked so much coconut milk rice or made so much sambal. Most importantly, red palm oil was used in the cooking, YB Teresa Kok's star product. The weather was horrible for setting up an outdoor food stall. It was hot and hazy.  Most of the time, we  would slip indoors to watch the lion dance competition and get some air-conditioning.

Business was slow in the afternoon, but towards evening, people started buying. I made a short escape to have dinner with KH and upline at Yang Ming Chinese Restaurant. Nothing to shout about. Back at the event, mum gave them so nasi lemak for supper. At the end of the night, we managed to clear most of the food. Thank goodness.
