Journalism?

Heard about the furore generated from an opposition MP entering a mosque without properly covering herself according to 'religious tenets'?

I watched it on the government mouthpiece's prime time news. The newscaster declared it as:

Biadap dan melampau!!

Isn't that inciting hatred? To me, news channels should be impartial. Not apple polishers who are over-zealous when it comes to condemning the 'enemy'. I really have no more appetite for mainstream media.

Yes, it's Biadap dan melampau!!

I'm a Muslim and I can't understand why the issue was blown over. That's the bad thing about politics I guess. You make issue of something that should not be an issue.

agreed with Afif. if it wasn'te brought up as an issue, the newscaster won't biadap and melampau, and that shall prevent further blow ups on the newscasting company. isn't this all melampau?

Government mouth piece like Utusan attacks on non-Muslim opposition politicians are not suprising, but only confirm the deviousness, total bias, intolerance and mean-spiritedness of those running the newspaper. Their behaviour is true to type and will continue as long as the present government refuses to act objectively and fairly. To expect action from the ruling government is not realistic as Utusan is a obviously key tool in propagating its rule, but will eventually prove to be the instrument for its own destruction.

There is no mood to celebrate 53rd Merdeka!

Alot taboo things swirling around and it reminds me of " Peristiwa 13 Mei". The question here, would it last for the next 50 yrs. So unpredictable.

I'm a believer of alternative medias. The mainstream medias are good for entertainment news only, for me.

@Afif:
Welcome. Hypocrites, all of 'em.

@Medie:
I bet the TV station does it on their own accord, or they have some kind of directive to do so.

@SkyHawk:
Yes, they are obviously propaganda tools! And the Merdeka atmosphere is really lacking in the Klang Valley this year!

@Koala:
Balik Tiong Kok?

@Nicky:
Destabilization to rule with an iron fist.

@Legs:
Yes, alternative medias rule!

It just shows how slow their mind is catching up with time... doing it openly in public is biadap and melampau, having their own fetish in their own room is perfectly normal...

It's obviously show their double standard of what's right and wrong... I believe the voters will make a wise choice..

i guess i don't know enough on this subject here, but an outcry like that is a shock, but not surprising since I think religious zeal can sometimes border on fanaticism.

@Kidz:
Hypocrisy is their favourite past time.

@Pikey:
Vote them out for good!

@Fufu:
Agreed!

@Kris:
It's just a show. The ends justifies the means.
