Penang I: Mumlindo

Image
Planned a getaway to Penang with the gang during the Labour Day long weekend. Bought the flight tickets six months before. At that time, I wasn't certain what the plan for my mother's birthday was. Closer to the date, I found the travel dates to be clashing. Bro had bought tickets to KL for April 30th, while I was supposed to fly off on May 1st! Dang! To make things work, I suggested to my siblings to celebrate mum's birthday in Penang! After some discussion, we reached a consensus. The Tribe would drive to Penang on Friday and my brother would follow them. On the other hand, I bought an extra flight ticket for mum to Penang. Didn't want her to spend too much time in the car in case her neck acted up again. Unfortunately, the flight back to KL was sold out, so she would have to follow my sister's car back to KL. Instead of flying back to Singapore from KL, my brother bought a flight ticket from Penang to Singapore. Phew. With the arrangements in place, it was all

Quick Update

Image
After the BKT expose in my last post, it's definitely necessary to post about something more healthy, like a morning run in Bukit Jalil Park. It had been ages since I brought out my running shoes and broke a sweat out there. And lunch was home-cooked noodles in chicken soup. Munched on some fresh strawberries too. A bit tired of Piccolo Cafe, KH & I went exploring and tried Kimosasa at the other side of Taman Equine instead. A dark vegetarian place. Just had a mocktail. Don't think there would be a repeat visit. In the evening, I had a BEC gathering at KM1. First time there. Pretty good security and living environment, but it comes at a price tag of RM500 a month!

Titi Tête-à-Tête

Image
Mum picked up a day trip flyer from the OUG morning market and decided to go to Titi. Her interest in that place was piqued during CNY when a church member told her that it was colourful, quaint, tight-knit small village. She managed to get a neighbour to join her and so I woke up at 5:00 AM on Sunday to prepare to send her out to the meeting point. At 6:00 AM, the bus picked them up at the OUG BHP petrol station. Since I was up so early, I decided to join SK at the 6:45 AM mass. Mass was celebrated by Father Justin, a new face from Sabah who was picked to head the Bahasa Malaysia Apostolic in KL. Funny that his introduction sounded like his resume! Finished by 8:00 AM. Gosh, still so early in the day. Both of us were craving for BKT, so we ate at Yi Xin Ge . Got my fix of spare ribs. Yum! On the way back home, we stopped a while at Taman Wawasan to buy breakfast for SK's granny and buy 4D. Suddenly had inspiration to gamble ( and of course I didn't strike any prize ):< ).

Osamu or Naoya?

Image
There's a GV actor from KO-Video that I have my eyes on with the name OSAMU AMAGASA ( a 20 year old with an athletic body ). If I'm not mistaken, he later signed with Coat as TAIIKUKAI SEIHA NAOYA . Also seen him with Coat. From what I've seen, he's a versatile fella with a hefty package. But I really like to seem him on the receiving end cause he OBVIOUSLY enjoys it when he is filled. Really sexy to see. In Coat's "Get Athlete Conquest - Naoya", I loved seeing him bobbing up and down while taking it like a canine. Such a turn on especially when the other guy services him at the same time. Also saw his performance in KO-Surprise!'s "Just Do It!" where he was paired with the twinky Asuka Aizawa. Loved his moans while he was being explored. He has appeared in other newer videos but they have yet to appear in torrents. I'll be keeping a look out!

1Belle

Cutiepie's youngest daughter Belle turned one in April and she threw a birthday bash at Basil House , Kajang. The Indian restaurant had a function hall upstairs and judging by the Doc McStuffins banner on the wall, its frequently used for children's parties. The night before, I went shopping for a birthday gift at Isetan KLCC and truth be told, its not easy shopping for a one year old. Contemplated Duplo but I think it really isn't worth the dosh. Reverted to the classic Chinese gift instead-- the red packet. Cash is always king. LOL. But anyway, spotted something interesting at the toy section-- Polis DiRaja Malaysia Premium Die Cast Collection of police vehicles officially licensed to The Nine Products. Didn't realize that the police force dabbles in merchandising. What's next? Ketua Twitter Negara action figures by Bandai? Gosh. The Tribe didn't go to the party as BIL suddenly decided to bring them to Melaka to visit his mum. So only Mum, Sis, KH, SK an

Sunday Paktorlogy

Sunday breakfast was nasi lemak packed by mum. T'was a lazy Sunday morning with no place to go. Just had to keep the kids entertained by looking up some funny clips on YouTube. Dinosaurs. Hot air balloons. Fountains. Peppa Pig... Mum cooked a late lunch. Ate at 1345, just 15 minutes before KH picked me up for our play at KLPAC. Didn't know what I was watching until we entered Pentas 1. It was David Mamet's "Speed the Plow", starring Douglas Lim, Gavin Yap and Amelia Henderson. Truth be told, the Hollywood movie business satire was lost on me. The blazing American-ish dialogue between the two main characters didn't do it for me. Supposed to be "quick, witty, outrageous and ridiculously funny", but it didn't squeeze many laughs from the audience. Gavin looked so short beside his leggy P.A., but still, he had his boyish charms. Ended in about 90 minutes and I was free! Still to early for dinner, so we looked for a nearby cafe to relax and tal

More Babysitting

Woke up bright and early on Saturday not because I had to go to the market, but because the kids were already banging on my door. Groggily, I got dressed and went out to breakfast with them. Mum no longer favoured our usual wantan mee haunt, so we went to the kopitiam next door instead. The wantan mee there is good too! Springy but the meat's kinda sweet though. Back home, I started a Peppa Pig marathon for the kids to shut them up. At 11:00 AM, sent Big Monster out to Seri Petaling for his science class. With all the recent development, Seri Petaling has gone from bad to worse. Too many cars, too little parking. It was just an hour, so we waited for him. Mum did some chores and we had some time to spare for lunch with SK. Lunched at Ipoh Chicken Rice 1977 , away from the horrible hustle and bustle. Little Monster got up just in time to makan . Just as I was leaving, Sharky turned up. But sadz  he never tegur me lo... ( but he messaged me afterwards, that's how I know LOL

Holy Week: Food & Faith

Image
Palm Sunday: Jesus rides into town on a donkey. Lunch at Dae Jang Geum right opposite my church. I love vinegar-ed wakame ! Good Friday: Jesus dies on the cross. Hot cross buns! Hot cross buns! one a penny, two a penny, Hot cross buns! Easter Vigil: The resurrection of Jesus. Dinner at OIC Cafe , a huge, standalone cafe at Aman Suria.

Late for School

Image
By Wendy Andrews (Flickr) On Friday morning, Sis and BIL took an early flight to Guangzhou. At 2:50 AM, Little Monster was wailing for his mum. He looked out the living room window, calling his mum to return. It continued upstairs and repeated downstairs. Finally quieted down after twenty minutes. I continued to sleep on the couch. At 6:25 am, the doorbell rang. The neighbour was at the front door waiting to pick Big Monster to school! The best thing was, he was still asleep. Told her to proceed, else the rest would be late too. Mum didn't wake up too cause she only slept after the Little Monster episode. Mum quickly got him ready and we jumped into the car to get him to school on time. Luckily we made it by 7:00 AM. Things have changed so much now. Schools actually look like prisons. Grills all around and guards at every entrance. Headed home after that. Phew! By evening time, I was already kinda pooped. Wanted to go paktor with KH but my plans kinda got scuttled. My boss call

Will You Marry Me?

Image
In the United States of America, the Supreme Court ruled by a 5-to-4 vote on Friday that the Constitution guarantees a right to same-sex marriage. Although in another continent, this landmark ruling caused a huge reaction in Malaysia with my FB stream cumming six colour rainbows the whole day! And its great to see even straight friends showing their support. No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were. As some of the petitioners in these cases demonstrate, marriage embodies a love that may endure even past death. It would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. Their plea is that they do respect it, respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. Their hope is not to be condemned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization’s oldest instit
