Live, Run, Love

Image
The last time I attended 'A Run That Wasn't A Run' was in February of 2015-- the Alliance Pacer Runfie . In 2016, KH asked to me to join the IMU Chariofare . Woke up at 5:30 AM and by 6:00 AM I was out the door with mum. Easily found parking at the Sri Petaling LRT station and was at the starting point by 6:15 AM. The flag off for the 5 KM run was not for another half an hour, so we had a warm up session first. KH arrived at 6:30 AM. Moi: Why aren't you wearing your skanky pants? KH: It's just 5 KM. But I have it in my bag. Moi: Bring already then wear lo. KH: OK. Wakaka. For my benefit. From my observation, there weren't many 10 KM runners. The majority came for the fun run. In my opinion, the organizers weren't very organized. The PA system they used was quite a failure. Couldn't hear a thing they were saying. And when I could hear, I found that the language they used were bordering on bossy and impolite. Perhaps they are too used to

Teochew Tryst

Once again, mum was away on an official function-- Mid-Autumn Festival-related. That gave KH and I another opportunity to 'hook up'. A good part of the morning was spent on that. Once we had rested enough, we called up SK for lunch. We ate at Restoran Hoi Kee Heng Hwa, a Teochew restaurant in Taman Desa. Been a while since we ate there. To replenish lost sexual energy, we ordered an oyster omelette. Carbs were from a plate of Heng Hwa Bihun. Also ordered a round of hot watercress drinks, something uncommon at restaurants. Tastes like sweetened watercress soup. Right after lunch, we went hunting for coffee. Gambled on Le Bon Cafe near LDG. Bad choice. We were greeted by lukewarm service and most of the tables had been reserved for God knows what reason. The owner couldn't be bothered to vacate a table that his staff used for lepaking . Sympathetic customers vacated a table for us to use instead. Coffee was meh too and here were no cakes. Won't be going back ther

A Rewarding Merdeka

Mum had a full day workshop at church on the 31st of August, so it was Merdeka for me. Something about preparing for your twilight years. After dropping mum off, SK and I had a BKT breakfast at Yi Xin Ge . Went back home after that. At around 10:00 AM, KH roped me in to do some volunteer work for the Straits Games 2016 . For those not familiar with the event, its actually an annual sporting event to foster friendship and promote a healthy lifestyle in the LGBT Community. TSG celebrated its 15th anniversary in Kuala Lumpur. The organizing chairman needed some help to sort out the program books. When we arrived, several volunteers were already there. Met KH's friend whom I had not seen for 7 years or so. After ninety minutes or so, we left for an early lunch at Restoran Ho Boh . First time trying their abacus seeds. Actually quite oily because they stir fry the abacus seeds with thin strips of dried calamari. But of course the end result is also very fragrant. Retired

Looking for Poslaju

Second Saturday in a row that I did not go to the morning market. This time it was because mum had a function that was related to the Hungry Ghost Festival. Many religious and business associations give out donations to charities during this period, in cash and in kind. So I sent her out to Kuchai Lama in the morning then stopped over to KH's place. I had a conference to attend on Monday that required a lounge suit, so I borrowed his. Hate to admit his coat fit although I'm more svelte than him. :P. We then had breakfast at Restoran Yoong Seng and proceeded back to my place for a more 'detailed fitting' of the coat. By the end of that session, it was confirmed that I fit him like a glove. Lol. After some resting and snuggling, we went out to Poslaju to collect my Citibank credit cards ( follow up story to come ). Made a wasted trip to Serdang because there are two Jalan Perusahaan 3 at the 43300 Seri Kembangan postcode. Annoying. The place I needed to be was at

Naughty Nunsense

On Saturday afternoon, KH and I were presented with a perfect opportunity to spend some quality time together. Right after lunch, mum went to her society meeting, so that gave us ample time to skank. Our last session was in May, so we were understandably horny. KH really hit the spot. Spent and sweaty, we snuggled in bed, showered then went out for coffee at Strangers At 47 . It was our first time there. Initial impression was good because they provided good table service. All the staff were young females with a lone guy manning the cashier. Started with a flat white and an affogatto ( ice cream on a rainy afternoon ), both of which were quite good. Felt a little nippish so we tried their crepes, one savoury and another sweet. For the savoury crepe, we chose Shore to Please, a seafood version with prawns, battered calamari and a creamy salted egg yolk sauce. A good combo. For dessert, we had the Red Riding Hood, which is their red velvet crepe. Didn't quite like that. Lat

A Date with Money

Volunteer work as a form of dating-- guess I can scratch that off my bucket list now. KH likes to join his company's corporate social responsibility activities and when he found out that they lacked volunteers, he roped me in. I was supposed to teach standard 4 and 5 kids about money. We arrived at Sekolah Rendah Subang Jaya at 9:00 AM. A strange feeling walking into a primary school with all the kids around. Normally its five years once to vote. LOL. All the kids were huddled into the hall together with the volunteers. More volunteers turned up and less kids attended. So my help wasn't really needed. Started off with a short briefing and the kids were split into eight groups of six. KH and I got to know our kids ( super hipster names these days ) and we distributed the breakfast packs-- bottled water, a vegetable samosa and a stunted doughnut. When I looked at the training material from Junior Achievement, I doubted that the kids would get it. The "JA More Than Mone

Puppet's Party

The closer we got to CNY, the worse traffic and parking I had to face at the OUG morning market. Quickly got what we needed and had breakfast at the newest noodle shop in the area. They only served Hakka noodles and YTF. Their noodles are quite good but the YTF is pretty expensive at MYR1.40 per piece. Mum was suffering from a lingering cough after her sore throat, so we went to Tai Onn Tong at Happy Garden to get a TCM consultation. The TCM practitioner checked her pulse and wrote up a long prescription. In addition to that, she limited my mum's diet to rice, pork and a limited choice of greens. Noticed two shops at the same row-- Zen & Co and Bacon & Balls. Will come back to try one of these days. Mum had a hair treatment appointment in the afternoon so I had lunch by myself. Boiled some Maggi instant noodles and matched that with leftover YTF from breakfast. Invited KH over for an 'afternoon delight'. Must admit that I wasn't feeling so energetic that

Market Celebrities: Red Robert

Image
Made the first CNY market foray on the 9th of January. Due to the proximity to the festive season, all the Cina Babi s from all around descended on OUG to make their preparations. The multi-level car park was full and people parked deeper into the residential area. Of course the traffic was also bad. Took me more than three rounds around the market to find a spot. Even with a bigger crowd, I didn't see many CNY-specific items. No firecrackers and smuggled liquor. Not many stalls selling biscuits and snacks. Just one stall selling decorations. Don't think it was in full-swing yet, but the CNY weather had started with a scorching sun. In the market throng, I was lucky enough to tail a hunky fellow in red ( auspicious colour ). He had a wide back and wavy hair, a masculine jaw with slitty eyes. I shall call him Red Robert . For breakfast, mum and I tried a new stall just outside Restoran Ong Lay . It was run by two Vietnamese ladies. I ordered their pork noodles and bahn mi

The Force Awakens

On the 30th of December, KH took leave to service his car and spend time with me. To simplify logistics, he sent his car to the Honda service center at Taman Equine in the morning. Compared to the service consultants at Nissan, the people at Honda don't seem too experienced. Once KH dropped off his car, we went off hunting for breakfast. Packed some noodles and nasi lemak  from Restoran Shui San  nearby. Spied a stall with a sign that reeked of Google Translate. We ate at my sister's house with my mum and the monsters. A very lively affair. At around 10:30 AM, we went back to my house to pick up some stuff. But that turned into a quickie sex session. Kinda messed with our schedule because we had a movie to catch at IOI City Mall at noon. We made it just in time to watch "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" . Not a bad movie really and the title is really apt. Its about awakenings, though a bit too convenient. And I'm not very fond of the angst-y villain. Exited
