The investigation officer was quite patient altough I didn't know my home phone number and couldn't even provide my office address and contact number. So suspicious, right? SK got a much grouchier officer. LOL. In just one day, our hire purchase loan was approved ( I got 2.49% ) and the Nisan saleswoman requested that we come in to pay the 10% downpayment. Left work earlier that day, but due to the jam, we only arrived at the showroom near 8:00pm. That's Puchong for you. The saleswoman explained the price breakdown-- retail price + alloy rims + road tax + insurance + registration fee + HP ownership claim fee + inspection fees - promotion discount - extra discount = $$$$$! Then proceeded to pay the downpayment ( the credit card terminal ran out of paper and the salesgirl ended up driving all the way to KL for me to sign the slip the next day ). Settl

Driven to Change

2012 Nissan Almera ST , swiped from TuRbO_J on Flickr. Early Sunday morning, woke up and got ready for the 8:45am English mass. The reason for this was because mum had a function to attend in the afternoon. After mass had ended, we went to Taman Sri Manja to use up a jumble sale ticket that I had bought months back at church. Took us some time to find it among the messy shophouses there. It was not open. What a rip off. Since we still had time to burn, we joined SK for a Nissan Almera test drive at Puchong, near Tesco. Compared to the Mitsubishi woman the day before, this salesperson was MUCH better. The appointment was supposed to be for the afternoon, but she quickly rushed over to meet us. Compared to the Mitsubishi Mirage, the Nissan Almera is much bigger, with just a small gap in price. A simplistic comparison: MYR69k vs MYR62k 1.5 vs 1.2 Sedan vs Compact CKD vs CBU Taking all factors into consideration, I found the Nissan Almera to be a better choice although its a

A Hazy Mirage

Kampung Chicken , swiped from williamnyk on Flickr. Saturday's brekfast plans were changed to Subang's Kar Heong Chicken Rice where I ordered their kampung chicken hor fun . The soup had a good shrimp base but in my opinion, the hor fun wasn't thin enough. The porkballs were good as usual. Excellent texture and taste. Next up was to accompany SK to test drive the Mitsubishi Mirage. The showroom was located just beside IOI Mall, so the traffic condition was horrible and parking as scarce as leg hair on my shins. Just parked illegally at the Korea Wallpaper's reserved parking and proceeded to meet the saleswoman. During the small talk, she told us that she used to work for Perodua. Her first month with Mitsubishi. And her newbie-ness showed. She didn't know anything about the car. We even needed to go to the petrol station first because the tank was nearly empty. And she didn't even know that the beeping warning was actually from the partially released hand br

Alarmed

cross your legs , swiped from williamnyk on Flickr. On Saturday, mum and I skipped marketing to have the kitchen cabinets installed. The contractors came at about 10:30am, and after they had settled down and started work, I went out to the car accessories shop again. This time to find out why my car alarm became mute. Turned out to be a dead horn. After replacing it, my old Iswara now sounds like a foreign car. LOL. Cool. After getting that fixed, I met up SK for lunch at a nearby coffeeshop. She was around to get her wound dressed. Helped her to hop into the shop ( seven stiches on her sole! ). Ate a lousy chicken rice and packed an even lousier mied rice for mum. When we got home, the cabinets were still being installed. The guy was very meticulous. He would test each door thoroughly. Everything had to be smooth. A litle knock here, a little adjustment there. The QA was superb. Left the house again to collect another MySale package at my office. This time round was some super che

Check Out My Headlight

headlight. , swiped from williamnyk on Flickr. One night while driving home from work, I noticed that the roads were exceptionally dark. For the better part of the journey, things were fine because SPRINT and OKR were well-lighted. Only realized while I was in the BK1 area where the street lights don't work. Upon reaching home, I did not testing and found that my headlights were shot. Crap. Only the low lights were in service. Early next morning, I scoured OUG for an open workshop. I did not have many choices so I settled for one near the Shell station. Getting down from the car, I noticed something amiss about the workshop-- a Ferrari on the side, a Porsche hoisted up and Maserati below it. Yikes. I asked anyway. The guy confidently answered that the bulbs were dead without even checking. I raised doubts about the wiring both sides failed to work at the same time and he shrugged me off. Ok lo... I'm not the expert. He replaced both bulbs with some difficulty as my Iswara ain&
