KLIA2 Celebrities: Four-eyed Fred

Image
Time to revive my flagging readership with some eye candy. Caught sight of Four-eyed Fred  at KLIA2 while I was lining up at the AirAsia counter. Couldn't find the Premium Flex counter at its usual location, so I thought that they had done away with it. And the ground staff didn't tell me that it had moved to X, just told me to join the long queue. Thank goodness it only took me thirty minutes and I had plenty of time to spare. And of course that delay gave me the opportunity to photograph our specky specimen of Korean descent. Look at those thick lips. Sign of a high sex drive! The reason I only got his head ( not dick head ) was because he was queuing directly behind me. Not easy to take a shot while I'm facing the other side. Kinda happy with the results. Too bad I couldn't photograph his hunkier friend. Annyeonghaseyo !

KLIA2 Fail

Image
Usually, I fly out of Changi on the 1910 Air Asia flight. That day, the flight was delayed for 45 minutes due to inclement weather around KLIA2. Waited on the tarmac for control tower clearance. Outside the cockpit, the flight attendants were busying themselves trying to find stowage for a stray bag. Everything had been filled up. In the end, they just left it outside. Think it was because too many Indian nationals boarded that evening and they all bought a whole lot of Canadian Club! When we arrived at KLIA2, it had stopped raining. More bad news ensued. The plane docked at the furthest gate and even by the time I got to the baggage claim, my luggage wasn't there yet. Not a surprise but what was REALLY surprising was the fact that I saw 7 other flights queued at the same belt. Had to wait for luggage from Taipei, Bandar Seri Begawan and Surabaya to clear before it was our turn. Took more than an hour with passengers from the multiple flights crowding at the same belt. Chaos. You

Airport Celebrities: Transit Tom

Image
Gosh, look at the time! I've neglected my blog again. Rainy Day reminded me that I need to post Transit Tom from Chek Lap Kok Aiport. I gravitated towards his arms like tudung -clad girl to a K-pop boy band member! Sat next to him and fired up my Nexus 5! Love the proximity. And he has such a hunky jaw line with good, tanned skin. Yummy! Hope to get back to my regular posts soon. They are wayyyyyyyyyyyyy overdue!

Jet Lag Wednesday

Image
Departed from YVR on the 8th of September at 0200 and arrived in KUL on the 9th of September at 1225. On the two connecting flights of CX889 and CX723, I managed to watch several movies, but the most memorable was Thermae Romae II , a Japanese production about hot springs. It's actually a sequel about Lucius, a Roman architect who is transported to modern day Japan public baths where he gets inspiration for works back in his time. Very goofy, funny and plenty of skin. Haha. Both of us had missed Mid-Autumn Festival, but at least Cathay Pacific gave us mooncakes as dessert. In Malaysia, I was thrust back into a hot, humid and hazy environment. When I arrived home, the first thing I did was laundry. Didn't take a nap or anything as the goal was to stay awake as long as possible. Showered, packed all the souvenirs and went over to my sister's place to greet mum and The Tribe. Little Monster was in a surprisingly good mood when he saw me and dragged me here and there

GCA X: Goodbye Banff, Hello Vancouver

Image
It was the day to head back to the city, so we got up earlier than usual and checked out. Drove back to Banff to have breakfast at Melissa's Mistake , a famous breakfast place in town. We went for the weirder items-- crab and asparagus omelette and eggs benedict with chorizo. Surprisingly, the potatoes came grated, like noodles. Pour over coffee was bottomless but wasn't that great ( expected I guess ). Their large pancakes are quite popular too. Before leaving Banff, we had time for a few more tourist attractions like The Hoodoos, a weird rock formation that looked like a huge termite nest. With one hour left in our schedule, we squeezed in the Banff Springs Hotel. Took a look around the luxurious and historical hotel ( 1888 ) and then continued driving to Calgary to catch our flight out to Vancouver. Returned our rental and took a look at the final reading of the odometer-- 900+km, not bad at all. Fast food at Chick-fil-a was lunch and a pumpkin spice latte from Starbu

Cramped & Crowded I: Sparse to Dense

Divergence , swiped from williamnyk on Flickr. My sister bought tickets to Hong Kong approximately one year ago. I wasn't too keen really, but what the heck, I've never been there. And it isn't mainland China, so I guess I shouldn't be phobic about it. A family trip with mum, bro, sis, BIL and little Cyan. On Tuesday, I woke up at 3:30am to prepare for the trip ahead. BIL's little brother sent us in an Avanza. Had to fit four at the back with all the luggage and all, so we had to do some 'hovering' for forty five minutes or so. An ass-numbing experience. Definitely not as enjoyable as having your ass plowed for the same amount of time. LCCT was actually quite busy even at that ungodly hour and I saw several cute twinks here and there. Perked me up better than a cup of kopi o . Our boarding gate was Y1, the infamous gate that is hidden at the domestic departure. Doesn't even have a toilet! So I went to the loo and was greeted by a PLU who was taking his

Siap Sedia , swiped from zamanizubir on Flickr. I went to Brunei for a short trip of three days due to some office politics and screwed up resource allocation. As you can guess, it was a show-face kinda deal. Upon arrival at 09:30, a colleague picked me up from the airport and sent me to the office. However, I could not work on that Sunday morning because the Sultan's "Meet the People" session was being held at the parade grounds opposite my client's office. Why? It was done in conjunction with His Majesty's 65th birthday celebrations. Two snipers had went up the building to ensure His Majesty's safety. As a result, we had to loiter at a nearby restaurant to kill time. Bumped into an old uncle who stared at my colleague: Uncle: Where are you from har? (eyes bulging) Colleague: Malaysia. Uncle: I hate Malaysians! They are all bad people! Humph! He actually left his table for another that was further away. Wah. I suspect his ex-wife was Malaysian and h
