Let The Fire Fall

During a Pentecost gathering, one guy stood up to speak during a scripture discussion session.

"It is a sign of the times. The end is near. Earthquakes. Floods. Two men hugging and talking of love. Homosexuals. Lesbians. We must always be vigilant!"

A dark cloud immediately descended on my mum's face. Looks like it's still a taboo subject for her. :P. But anyway, I don't see what's wrong with two men telling each other that they love each other. Even Jesus loved his disciples!

In Iran, two guys kiss each other, of coz not mouth to mouth but hug and kiss >.<
i'd go into a deep comment regarding religion to begin with, but i think it's best if i kept it to myself and just watch.

hell is a place filled with things you'd find unpleasant. an eternity with people like that is hell.

to me, religious is a teaching bout positive life, it started in a time where people need a belief for stability. the teachings, was pass down in thousands of years intepreted and thought by people of different times and background and language at their time..

being born in this era.. we have the ability to think with our own mind right?

im a devout catholic myself, and i totally support you. i believe somewhere that love is supposed to be general...where you can apply as long as it comes within these parameters:

"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous;

love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly;

it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,

does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails...But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love."

1 Corinthians 13:4-7,13

so basically love is everywhere. it just comes in different forms.

I m not Christian, can't comment...but i believe most religions are inclusion and can accept things so long it doesn't harm anyone...and this is definitely taboo to most parents..unfortunately.

Yup, context is very important. But somehow, the context for this subject is forever stuck in the biblical times.
