Shopping Celebrities: Hallyu Han

Image
With the Korean Wave at its peak, our boys look towards their Korean idols for fashion inspiration. Spotted Hallyu Han at K Plus Cafe, located inside K Plus Food Market, a Korean version of Isetan Food Market. The fella looks like he stepped out of Korean BL comic. The hair, facial features, and fashion sense were all on point. Although it would be perfect if he was taller, but I'm sure it would not be a dealbreaker for many of us.   Annyeong haseyo!

Market Celebrities: Seafood Stephen

Image
People go to the wet market for fresh meat and fresh seafood. Seafood Stephen is a combination of both. His T looks sprayed on. Spotted him at OUG morning market. Worth waking up early to go to the market right?

Fifth Roar: Tyre-d of BKT?

Image
KH did all the necessary checking and found a BKT place in Klang that was open on the fifth day of CNY-- Restoran Weng Heong , one of approved entries in Gratitude's list. He treated us to a big, meaty breakfast, a mix of soup and dry BKT. Klang Food Centre was also open, so we also left with bags of pau . With nothing else better to do, we went to Central i-City for coffee. Thought Chong Kok would be open, but it wasn't. The Loaf came to our rescue instead. The shopping scene there was also pretty lame, but the CNY decorations of choice was really quite unique, incorporating very stylized illustrations by Phannapast Taychamaythakool, a Thai artist.  Walked into Nale for a fried nasi lemak lunch and was later greeted to a familiar face-- Namewee . Turns out he was there with the case the cast of Nasi Lemak 1.0 which ironically is the sequel to Nasi Lemak 2.0. Since we had nothing better to do, we stayed on for the promotional junket at the center court. From our observatio

Mall Celebrities: Trapeze Tyson

Image
Look at those guns on Trapeze Tyson ! He's with Escape PJ , a provider of unique experiences such as aerobatics, climbing coconut trees, banana flip, climbing buildings, etc, all in a controlled environment. Don't worry, and just do your trapeze flip knowing that he'll be there to catch you in those muscular arms. Go sign up at Paradigm Mall. Perhaps they have a free trial.

Chef Celebrities: Dinner Duo

Image
The second day of the new year started off with another food coma. SK invited mum and I to an omakase dinner at  Chipta 11A Curated Dining . The location is unique~ right above a 7-11, and we visited on a Sunday, so the surrounding area had transformed into a night market. For our 6PM slot, we were joined by KH, and Apollo. SK managed to get us seated at the counter so we could watch the young chefs in action. Eye candy enhances the umami of any meal. Definitely enjoyed the experience. Good sake pairing, nice ambience, no pretentious servers, just the pure enjoyment of food.  P.S.: Who are you ordering for dinner?

Mall Celebrities: Teman Taco Bell

Image
Would you wait for hours to have Taco Bell? Do you wake up one day and have a deep craving for Mexican food? Guess that was what Teman Taco Bell was experiencing on the day I spotted them at Tropicana Gardens Mall. What do you think they were saying to each other? Was it a conversation about eating jumbo burritos?

Shopping Celebrities : Starbucks Shawn

Image
As usual, mum and I were roaming Paradigm Mall after church on Sunday. An 'angel' passed me a red helium balloon with heart-shaped chocolates anchoring it down. The boy was dressed like a like a white Dobby with wings. He was wearing white shorts underneath his thin 'pillowcase'. Should have went for a white G-string instead. I let the balloon float above my shoulder. When I was in PDI, a toddler actually followed me around. Guess Pennywise the Dancing Clown got it right. When we got tired, we sat down at Starbucks for coffee. Spotted Starbucks Shawn having a chat with his buddy. Looked pretty young and straight, wearing a Raglan T with sneakers. Is he your cup of coffee?

LRT Celebrities : Black Bryant

Image
I spotted Black Bryant on the Ampang Line while I was heading back home. His all black gym togs really caught my eye. Of course those biceps and brooding, manly looks played a major role too. He was traveling with his family, but he gave them wide berth, preferring to retreat to the connection between train cars. Perhaps he was busy on Grindr and didn't want his parents to look over his shoulder.

MRT Celebrities : Black Sephiroth

Image
I had bumped into Black Sephiroth several times now. Always spotted on the MRT, in between Merdeka and Bandar Utama station, and also always in black. Either its Goth or he works for a cosmetics counter. I dunno. Several teenagers beside me quipped, "He must be going for that anime main character look". Yes, Sephiroth's black twin.

Chilly Qingdao V: Sayonara Sakura

Image
Our flight out was in the afternoon, so we had some time in the morning to do some sightseeing. A local partner mentioned that we can catch the tail-end of Sakura season in Qingdao, so we decided to make a trip to Zhongshan Park although it was drizzling. So different from the several days we spent cooped up indoors. The irony of it. From the hotel we walked to Renminhuitang Metro Station. The Metro staff actually stand at the entrance yelling warnings about the wet floor, and hand out plastic bags for umbrellas. Down in the station, passengers and bags need to go through security screening. Interesting to note that their restrooms are actually on the platform! The park was just a short walk away from Zhongshangongyuan Metro Station, but when we arrived, the drizzle had intensified. Much to our disappointment, the cherry blossoms along the so-called Sakura Road had mostly ended up on the ground. The rain had killed whatever was leftover. Many a plan was dashed by the sudden d

Trail Celebrities: Under Armour Ulysses

Image
Here's something to alleviate the dry season on my blog, a little surprise from KH while he was at the Hulu Langat Trail Run recently. Under Armour Ulysses here was really easy to spot in his bright green full body compression wear. And from the posterior shots, he definitely fills out those tights pretty well. My only complaint is the pantie line. And sorry, I really don't have the face shots.

LRT Celebrities: Mystery Hunk

Image
It's been a while since I posted any LRT Celebrities. My sincerest apologies for my lapse in providing a continuous supply of LRT cuties. Today I present you with a Mystery Hunk that I had seen several times on the Sri Petaling line. As you can see from the spy pics, he has a gym fit body. Look at those arms and nicely-shaped torso. From the angle of the photos, you can see his prominent nose and thick eyebrows. Hints of a macho face no? To be honest, he's not so blessed in the looks department, but from my photos, it gives an illusion that he is a handsome hunk. We all need to find our most flattering angle. Haha.

LRT Celebrities: SiMan Sheldon

Image
I know it has been a while since I posted an LRT Celebrity. I've not been very productive lately. But I'll try my best to keep this alive. Today I present to you SiMan Sheldon . In the exaggerated beauty standards of the gei lou universe he might make the cut, but in my opinion he is yummy to many who like the studious,  cina -boy look. Spotted him on the Ampang Line travelling towards Sentul Timur. So if this slender twink your up of Oolong tea?

Mall Celebrities: Hunky Hansel

Image
Sorry that I took this long to publish the follow up to Gardenia Gary . The hunky guy that came after Gary I name as Hunky Hansel . He came with a pretty female friend which made me think that he's straight. However, a friend of mine says that he bats for the other team. Entahlah . I just know that he looks very fine in a tight T and he has a 1000 Megawatt smile. And who can resist big arms and a boyish face? Enjoy. Sure looks like he knew something fishy was going on. LOL.

The Year of the Lamb Burglar

Image
At the end of February, I was the designated driver to mum's charity event at SJK(C) Chung Kwo. Exactly one year ago, I went to the same school on a wild goose chase . Once bitten, twice shy. This year, I got there with no fuss and even found a good parking spot. The organiser had given the Spring Single Mothers Association one table, so I was there to fill the space. Every year, this Christian association organizes a huge charity lunch for the needy. There were goodie bags at each table and an 8-course lunch by Restaurant Sheng Hui , a caterer from Sekinchan. Loads of performances ranging from song and dance to a testimony from an ex-paralympian. The emcee was Lim Ching Miau, the controversial plus-sized actress from two of Teresa Kok's "Onederful Malaysia" parodies. You would remember her as "Mrs. Jit". Currently she is promoting her movie "Kung Fu Taboo". As luck would have it, my dinner was also by Restaurant Sheng Hui . Mum and I were at

LRT Celebrities: Sailor Sam

Image
Think my back stories have been boring the bejeezers out of you guys. If they were back room stories, I'm sure it would be very different. So here I am with a little breather for all of you... an edition of LRT Celebrities. Today I introduce to you Sailor Sam . Spotted him travelling on the Kelana Jaya line towards KLCC. From the looks of him, he is a college student who has a thing for... sailors? LOL. All sorts of Tom of Finland images start flashing in my mind. LOL. According to face feng shui , his thick, pouty Angelina Jolie lips points to a high sex drive! Wonder if its true! No way to be sure unless you start some kind of Japanese train porn scene. ;).

Shopping Celebrities: FOS Frank & Empire Ed

Image
I know I've been slacking in this department, so here are some pics from the CNY season. LOL. Better late than never. The first guy is FOS Frank . As the name suggests, he works at FOS. Avenue K to be exact. Not sure if he's still there though. The last I was there was to buy some peach-coloured shorts for KH and I. He was the trainee cashier who punched in my items. So innocent looking right with his slitty eyes? And just look at his button badge. I'm sure many would need help from him. Second guy is Empire Ed. He was manning the life-like clay sculpture stall at Empire Subang. Think people were more interested with other more traditional stalls during the CNY season. Nice pouty lips kan ? And the way his bangs fall across his face. Can imagine a scene where you brush away his hair before kissing him. LOL. Keep your fingers crossed. More to come!

CNY IV: Old Shanghai & Old Enmities

Image
Brought mum to see the CNY decorations at The Gardens Mall on Monday. I loved their vintage oriental approach. A dressing table here, a lounge there. A seamstress' shop here, a restaurant there. Very old China. All the small details were perfect. And of course it was perfect for camwhoring. In comparison, MV's decorations were garish and an overkill of colours and flowers ( and their Ting-Ting candy seller at Center Court was a Bangladeshi :P ) . Lunch plans were at Sushi Zanmai, one of the few places open. A half hour queue.... Halfway through my 'Singaporean' patience, an alarm bell suddenly went off and the whole mall reverberated with the sound of giant ventilation fans. Went over to talk to the staff at Moo Cow. Didn't get what they were saying over the din. They just pointed to the ceiling. Since they didn't run for their lives, I guess it had happened before and it ain't life-threatening. LOL. My brother treated lunch that day. Sap-sap sui with SGD
