2015CNY1: Start the Year with a Kiss and a Grope

This year, CNY at church was a simpler affair cause it was already Lent. Less things put up would translate to less to take down. Haha. Like the year before, had to be a Mandarin orange mule upon stepping into church. Two hundred boxes to be moved. Great workout. The usual liturgy and ended with a lion dance performance. Lunch was at MaisonSK's. Tried Apollo's mum's yam chicken. Never tried the poultry version of that dish before. Quite different. And they also served up leftover shark's fin soup from their reunion dinner. Thick soup without the use of any tapioca flour. Could hear the protests of shark's fin activists with every spoonful. :P.



In the evening, we watched our first CNY movie. Apollo bought the tickets for GSC Paradigm Mall. For some reason, he bought 1820 tickets instead of 1620. Luckily KH noticed, else we would have all gone two hours earlier. KH came over to fetch us to Paradigm Mall. He came a little earlier to visit but bro and mum were both fast asleep in the living room. I hosted him in the dining room. Served him coffee and cranberry butter cookies that MoonlightPiggy's mum had baked. And while sipping coffee, he would lean over for a kiss and his hand would so conveniently slip under my nylon shorts. I saw two dead cockroaches under the dining table and went to grab the broom. Upon seeing that, my dear KH admonished me and suggested me to pick up the cockroaches instead. Aiieee, CNY do's and don'ts.



We watched "Lucky Star 2015" with SK and gang. Truth be told, it's a lousy movie. No laughs from me. Mum even dozed off. Rushed to dinner at Watami. Another first for me as not many places were open. The whole joint was operated by Bangladeshis. If not for the migrant workers, many would starve in KL during CNY. Lol. Ordered a whole bunch of stuff. Even had sake that night. SK settled the bill.



Sat down at Starbucks after the movie. Mum, Apollo's mother and SK's granny formed their own clique while us younger souls had our own chat. Coincidentally, it was SK's birthday, so she picked out a birthday doughnut (she didn't like their selection of cakes). Many blessings to SK, particularly in the health and career department!
