IKEARMIT

Sunday after church, mum and I ventured to IKEA. The traffic condition was horrible. There was a long line snaking into Mutiara Damansara. I think it took me half an hour to clear the traffic light. According to the LED board, there were 600+ available parking bays in The Curve, but traffic was at a standstill! Doesn't compute right? I parked at e@Curve. Saved myself a whole lot of heartache. However, the parking lot looks very scary and it would come as no surprise if something untoward happens there in the near future. Some B-Boy 3-on-3 action was going on at the main lobby (it's not what you think!). Watched a bit of the hip-hop moves (tak minat, sebab tak comel lol) then left to look for lunch. Tried Senjyu Sushi. Quite desserted, but luckily the food was decent. Ordered a sashimi set and a pot of kimchi nabe. Next up, we made our way through the flea market to IKEA. There was a sale going on! So many items were marked down. Hard to do business these days without offering discounts. Bought some small items and later proceeded to jalan-jalan at IPC. Wanted to get mum a foot massage in at Thai Odyssey, but they did not have any available slots. So on our way back, SK so kindly arranged a slot for her at Reborn, IOI Boulevard. We arrived just in time. Signed her up for the 4-in-1 that came with a head, shoulder, hand and foot massage. Having settled mum, I went to Kinrara to pick SK up. While waiting for my mother, we hung out at Ochado. Their 3Q Passionate Tea was quite refreshing. Loved it. Did some people watching and found that a lot of Puchong girls dress like floozies. Hahaha. One actually looked like she just rolled off a customer. Goodness. The post-coitus look must be in.

One hour later, we picked mum up and went to dinner at Jalan Kenari. Wanted to try 8 Road, but it was too crowded. Took the next best thing, DST Bullfrog Porridge. Also busy, but luckily we found a table. When at a bullfrog place, of course one eats bullfrog. Ordered a pot of white porridge (mum was afraid of a bullfrog overload) to go with ginger spring onion bullfrog and kung pao bullfrog. Both were quite nice, with a nice thick gravy that went well with porridge. The meat was also fresh and smooth. Good texture. Just MYR10 per frog and the portion's quite hearty. Go give it a try if you have a score to settle with Kermit.

I boycott that Reborn place! Got funny people working there. I think Thai Odessy has better service!

@Tempus:
The farms rear American bullfrog's now I think, so the term is correct.

@Nick:
Yup :)

@Twi:
Funny? Thai Odyssey is classier.

@Joker:
Yes they are. :D. Never had them?

Did you like Senjyu? I like going there from time to time. In fact, just bought Groupon voucher (RM25 for RM50 voucher) recently.

@HJ:
Not bad. I also heard about the Groupon thing. But I rarely go to e@Curve.
